Afternoon.

Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

Thank you all, he’s feeling better this morning. He was allowed ice cream for breakfastGrin

mrs I’m sorry to hear your NDN isn’t well.

We don’t have much planned today, I’m going to try and get the house back in order and that’s about it for today. Enjoy your day everyone!

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2019 12:54

Glad your Ds is ok Jo 💐
Wreck that is what l found when l had a lease car. We insured my then 18 yr old Dd2 on the car for £100 more a year . At the time it would have cost us nearly
2 k to insure her on our ins. The car only cost us £94 a month . It just mad sense. I'm sorry your little boy is being a bit of a pain l bet he is really exhausted from the whole Christmas/poorly tummy/
hormones all kicking in. Just let it flow over you if you can. Normal service will be resumed soon 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2019 12:56

Arrgg chips cold sores are the bane of my face , Yes l meant to say face 😄 . Hope they do one soon 💐

Fanny he's probably right there . I am done with moving , too much like hard work tbh Xmas Grin
Dh has just watched Indiana Jones for the 500th time and he's now watching Uncle Buck Grin
He's easily pleased bless him Smile
I bought a few bits in Cwmbran nothing much, just a couple of things for my Mum's birthday in Feb & DD1 birthday in March. It was so busy , had a job to park and Matalan was terrible to pay at the tills ! The queue must have taken half an hour to reach the tills. I decided to come home and look online Xmas Grin

JoGose · 28/12/2019 16:31

Thank you mrs, have you popped in on your neighbour? How is he?

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/12/2019 17:17

Veg gardens are very 'in' now though! People like having growing space.

As long as I had some usable hard standing, I'd prefer growing space / grass. Each to their own though!

I've got to go to Matalan on Monday; I hope it's quieter.

Wreck, our two had shocking behaviour after they finished school as they were knackered. We've had a few pyjama days since we got back from Scotland and it's improving slowly. They've both been sleeping longer than usual too.

We are having a really, really chilled break so they can recuperate, as the last half term really flattened them.

Maybe he's just tired? DS is particularly susceptible to being a shit when tired.

Matalan had some lovely stuff in the sale Fluffy but l just didn't want to wait all that time, l bet it will be better on Monday Smile
I am making mental notes of things l won't buy next year re food. I think l will half the amount of cheese and crisps l buy . There was no need for as many dips or breadsticks. l will buy another NY cheesecake and the same type of Turkey l bought this year because it was lovely . Also the same pork pies from Aldi for DH , l couldn't get his normal one he always has from M & S, so this year we had their Melton Mowbray & he loved it

I bought a box of Aldi fruit cake squares and DH absolutely loved them, they went like hot cakes Xmas Grin so l will be getting those again. They were these

Also this stollen from Waitrose it was lovely

Yes l popped in to see him Jo , he was very sad bless him , missing his wife , it's his second Christmas without her.

MrsDilligaf · 28/12/2019 18:09

Of all the things that I knew would cheer me up today it was knowing that you'd be chatting about Christmas 2020.

Its lovely to see the same familiar names on here.

x

NoWordForFluffy · 28/12/2019 18:15

MrsD!!!!! Where've you been?! How's Martha getting on?

Mrs, I've just been contemplating the fact we have too much food again. I'm hopeless when it comes to Christmas food!

EmrysAtticus · 28/12/2019 18:51

My behaviour is going down the pan due to lack of routine etc. Going to get things back under control tomorrow.

JoGose · 28/12/2019 19:08

mrs oh bless him, it’s awful for some at Christmas isn’t it. It’s lovely of you to check up on him though💖

We have lots of food left over, mainly stuff that I like as the kids have finished off their stuff. I’ll eat it all soon though!

I second the kids are playing up because they’re tired and the lack of routine. My lot can always get quite naughty at this time of year because everything is so up in the air.

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2019 19:34

Mrs D it's been a long time , where on earth have you been ?
Hope all is well in your house & you had a lovely Christmas m'dear ,
You know us so well Xmas Smile
Fluffy, we will have to curb the food next year, there really is no need when Morrisons was open on Boxing day here. I mean to say Boxing day, there's no need of it is there Xmas Hmm
Em what on earth have you been doing m'dear ? My mind is boggling but l would have seen it in the South Wales Argus if you had been THAT badly behaved Xmas Grin
I have lived next to him for 25 years Jo , he's like part of the family. I dread the day he goes .
I think the tendency to buy more hoard for Christmas must be to do with the threat of snow too, it's the season for it so we get more 'just in case' Xmas Grin

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2019 19:34

Also in case we get visitors calling !

MrsDilligaf · 28/12/2019 19:38

Waves...

2019 isn't a year I will look back on fondly, but its nearly over (thank goodness!)

All is good here, M starts school in 9 months Confused I don't know where the time has gone!

JoGose · 28/12/2019 19:46

mrs that’s lovely. We’ve known our neighbour for only about 18 months now but we see each other almost every day and the kids are great mates. It’s lovely to be friendly with neighbours

NoWordForFluffy · 28/12/2019 19:47

Starts school?!?! Bloody hell. She was the thread baby! 😱😱😱😱 I think you've got your dates wrong!

I'm sorry you've had a crap year. Here's hoping 2020 is better. Flowers

Mrs, I just like food options, so buy lots of choice. But it's just SO MUCH FOOD. I'm going to need to dig everyone's plots to burn the Christmas calories off! Xmas Grin

Em, behaviour?! Do you need a early night or two?!

Mrsmadevans · 28/12/2019 19:52

MrsD you must be fibbing surely ? I can't believe M has gone 3 ! Xmas Shock
Wasn't she THE Christmas thread baby one year ? Crown Wink
I'm so sorry 2019 hasn't been brilliant for you and yours , it's been the same with a few of us here, that's life and it sucks sometimes Flowers
Hopefully 2020 will be brilliant for us all Xmas Smile

MrsDilligaf · 28/12/2019 19:59

She was the thread baby!! Woolly made her a reindeer hat (which is in the box of precious stuff)

Definitely got the dates right... She tells me all the time ..."I not a baby mummy, I'm gonna be four"

sideorderofchips · 28/12/2019 20:00

Babychips starts reception in September as well!

sideorderofchips · 28/12/2019 20:01
