Afternoon.

Here we go again! It feels slightly bonkers setting off again before today is over, but it's tradition, so who am I to argue?!

Xmas Grin at pant suits ( apparently the American cruise-ships are less formal, but I'm sure they'll be the ones embracing the pant suits )

I'm wondering if a jumpsuit would fit the bill (people were wearing them to weddings an all sorts)
I would fall over a maxi dress Xmas Blush

Luckily the luggage allowance is huge , I never take my full luggage weight on a flight so I very much doubt I'll take too much .

I've already bought a dress from M&S ( I had a 20% off on my Sparks Card) so it's a start .

The Bath Christmas Market is 2 days , including overnight hotel and a designer outlet
Winchester is one day - that might work better . DH and I aren;t designer shop people Xmas Grin

Ah, I don't mind wearing something twice (it's a big ship, no-one will remember ) Xmas Grin . Don't think we'll be in the grand resturants , certainly not Captain's Table

I haven't seen Titanic (I must be the only person I know that hasn't . DD has , over and over but mainly because of a certain Mr DiCaprio )

I can't swim much , and if I wear a heavy sequin ballgown, I'll be shark fodder Shock

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/01/2020 19:55

I've been on a couple of cruises and anything goes. The blokes are mainly in tuxedos or suits on formal nights although I did spot a few kilts. Women wear jumpsuits, full length dresses and cocktail length dresses. On the cruises I've been on there is no obligation to dress up but you might want to if you are eating in the main dining room. The casual restaurants are really relaxed all the time but the main dining room isn't keen on shorts/T-shirts for the evening meal. I wore summer dresses (a couple of nights each) if we ate there and definitely did the glam frock for the formal nights 'cos I'm a sucker for a sequin.

Don't forget a waterproof. I didn't take one on first cruise we did as it was glorious and sunny when we left home. The next day in the Bay of Biscay it was chilly and drizzly. Luckily it was the only day of the holiday like that.

The next one we are going on is a fly-cruise. It will be interesting to see how that affects my packing.

I haven't seen Titanic either.

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 20:39

Woolly do you go on a lot of cruises m'dear? I always wanted to go on one but l know l would put on so much weight because l am such a sclem 😁

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 20:42

Wreck, they didn't taste eggy at all but the texture was like pancakes which WAS strange Grin

Mumbassa · 19/01/2020 20:46

70s don’t worry if you can’t remember, I’ve had 3 kids since then, I can barely remember yesterday Grin You can get some nice dressy jumpsuits

I watched Titanic in the cinema in 2012 when it was re-released. I bawled like a baby😂.

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 21:14

I don't like jump suits they end up in places you don't want them to end up. g string

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 21:15

Perhaps it's because they were too small 😂😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 19/01/2020 21:16

Just trying to figure out what went on with Caprice and Hamish on DOI 😂😂😂

NoWordForFluffy · 19/01/2020 21:33

Mumbassa · 19/01/2020 21:41

Morning!

It feels like it's cold today (our heating only comes on at 7 as it wakes the kids!). Had to fight a penguin out of the bathroom! 🐧😂

My alarm going off was very disappointing!

It's a shame you can't tell us your previous name, Mumbassa, as we are under troll attack these days, so we're all hyper-vigilant about newbies. That's not your fault, but unfortunately how the land lies over the last 18 months or so.

My phone says -2 outside. I won't go out for another hour though.

Someone (ds) weed on the loo seat this morning. I was the lucky one who didn't see it and sat in it.
Happy Monday everyone Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2020 07:23

Oh no, Wreck!

DS (thank very rarely) sometimes gets wee on the floor. I'm always the one to find that too and get wet tights / sock. 🤮

The path was slippery today. Not as slippery as yesterday though; my walk to the allotment was rather nerve-jangling! 😂 But yes, definitely cold! My garlic will be so happy! 😁

WreckTangled · 20/01/2020 07:26

Ds has always been very good but recently he's got a bit lazy with not putting the seat up (although our lid is always down so no more difficult to lift the seat too!).

Hmm I expect the roads might be icy then.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/01/2020 07:30

Yeah, DS is really good in the main. It only happens if he lets himself get distracted and decides to turn to look at something! He's been very well-trained. 😁

Our roads were worse yesterday; everywhere was slippery. It felt more like a dry cold today so more crisp!
