Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

Or maybe they had plans to scam everyone but some sort of Christmas magic has happened and they’ve seen the error of their previous bad ways.

noodledoodler · 08/12/2019 19:38

Or its a money laundering scheme. Who knows. It'll all come out in the wash in time as they say

MsMiaWallace · 08/12/2019 19:41

I've emailed them & asked for a refund.

Is this what you guys did to get money back?

Mistressiggi · 08/12/2019 19:45

@supermariossister I think you're kind to think of it but I certainly wouldn't want a photo pillow of anyone I have lost. Would be far too sad. A nice photo in a frame would be much safer if you want to go down the photo route.

Tooner · 08/12/2019 19:50

@MsMiaWallace yes. I emailed on Saturday and the refund was in my bank this afternoon.

supermariossister · 08/12/2019 19:53

Thanks I did think it would be too much, I'll have a think about something none photo related that will be a treat for her to go with her other bits so far she has a paint by numbers tiger, fancy Turkish delight and a rose patterned doormat 🙈

Smelly50 · 08/12/2019 19:54

Supermariossister what about a plant, Bush or rose in husbands name??

starrynight19 · 08/12/2019 19:55

supermariosister have you seen those cushions that can be made from a piece of someone’s clothing. Might be a bit more comforting.

naturalblonde a real Christmas story Grin

starrynight19 · 08/12/2019 19:56

thegriffle what about those clips that attach your beach towel to a subbed ?

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 08/12/2019 19:59

Renovirgin2018 · 08/12/2019 20:01

Someaddedsugar · 08/12/2019 20:22

For the PP who was after a body shop code - spend £20 and get 25% off plus a free 100ml hemp hand protector with code 23135

Smelly50 · 08/12/2019 20:35

Renovirgin2018 I for one are hoping you get your hampers and would prefer it on this thread

Unihorn · 08/12/2019 20:42

Watching Hampergeddon unfold and I feel like Pam on Gavin and Stacey. It's all the drama Mick, I just love it.

PS. As others have stated, I am genuinely sorry to those relying on receiving them!

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 08/12/2019 20:49

And the other hook that #hampergeddon has is that they are mystery hampers! What is going to be in them?!

(Fag butts and a half eaten double decker I reckon)

Notlongnow1 · 08/12/2019 21:17

I am really excited and thought I'd share in case personalised toys appeal to anyone else...
Just ordered this christmas train set from laser boutique for the kids. Less than it is elsewhere not personalised and you can have up to 8 bits of track with up to 25 characters each. Santa has written the kids a poem on it! Sadly 10% off with subscribing to newsletter doesnt work as a sale item.

masterchef98 · 08/12/2019 21:19

@Sixp I havent read all the thread but thought of a 3d printer as a bigger on the day present. Also as she has an echo does she have audiobooks? My 11 year old refuses to read anything which drives me mad as I love reading the best we can manage is to get him listening to books through audible which he loves.

masterchef98 · 08/12/2019 21:23

And my other idea was a game, a classic like clued, monopoly, trivial pursuits or there is loads of new stuff out, pandemic etc. Then it is something to do on the day and family time too.

Elpheba · 08/12/2019 21:29

Thanks pp for the polly pocket mall on amazon. Arrived today- absolutely bargain for £12. Enormous and will be a worthy main present for my niece’s birthday next year.

Sixp · 08/12/2019 21:29

@masterchef98 thank you for the ideas. I have ordered her a locket, which should be arriving any day! I like the idea of audible though. I’ve never got my head round that. We have family Spotify and the dc use it a lot, but just music. I think Spotify does have some books though...

RebekahVardysAccount · 08/12/2019 21:46

Thank you for all the bargains, currently wearing one of my £2.50 Simply Be dresses having almost finished my Christmas shopping!

I have a few codes that came with my gin box, in case they are of use to anyone:
Craft Gin Club: 5-OFF-ZR8B for £5 off £20+ spend in members’ store (I think it’s single use)
Hello Fresh: 8TXJ7 for £15 per box off first four boxes when you subscribe
Tails.com: HEALTHYDOG58 for one month free trial (of dog food) on subscription

noodledoodler · 08/12/2019 21:56

Meant to say thanks to the poster of the harry potter funko offer, I got it for £12. DS2 has an early jan birthday and will be so excited to get this gift, he is mad about funkos and loves strategy games😀
