Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

Shopping List

christmassymcchristmas · 07/12/2019 08:15

I've bought the adult book, looks good

Sneezein3s · 07/12/2019 08:17

@TheGriffle Tom Fletcher book sounds fab we’re reading Christmasaurus and it’s great! X

Jacopone · 07/12/2019 08:23

I didn’t order hampers. But, I have accidently bought too much. I now need more children and a few spare husbands.

Sneezein3s · 07/12/2019 08:23

@jacopone you can have mine!

ThePurpleGirl · 07/12/2019 08:26

@Whattodowithaminute we've got a few Orchard Toys games and our DS is 3 and DD is 6.

The favourites here that we all play and enjoy are Shopping List and Pigs in Pants. Other good ones are Pizza Pizza, Rain or Shine and the Pirate Race game. We also like Pop to the Shops but DS definitely needs help with the money aspect.

The one we really didn't get on with was Cheeky Monkeys. The Rocket Game wasn't much of a hit either.

DD also likes Magic Maths and Pass The Word, but they are definitely too hard for DS. Conversely DS quite likes Spotty Dogs but DD finds it too young.

Hope that helps! Xmas Smile

Ibelieveinyou · 07/12/2019 08:30

@Jacopone pm me your details you can have mine too! Wink

Jacopone · 07/12/2019 08:31

Only if your set is different than mine. That is - tidy, well organised, easy to manage and with basic cooking skills. I need some dramatic change in life...

nov1ce · 07/12/2019 08:33

@meanmrmustardseed thank you! Secret Santa sorted. Thinking I'll get one for my nephew (who literally knows it all) too 🤣🤣😂

PinkPanther27 · 07/12/2019 08:34

@Sneezein3s thanks for the goo goo galaxy info. My daughter has been asking for one but I begrudged buying one at full price as (in my eyes) it's just plastic tat but I've ordered one now 😊

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 07/12/2019 08:35

Air hog flying orb thing £12. Have just bought for my 9 year old who has been wowed by the television advertising but I had refused to pay the £40 wanted elsewhere Air Hog Supernova

@YuleAreBeingUnREASTIEable nomination for the next thread title But, I have accidently bought too much. I now need more children and a few spare husbands 😁

Definitely worth checking Amazon if you're still buying toys, they seem to have better deals on now than they have for ages including:

I'm secretly coveting the hen, the highland cattle mum and baby and the sting ray buddy (that auto corrected to dying rat 😳)

imsorryiasked · 07/12/2019 08:50

Why do my Amazon links not work?! All the others are fine 😕

MeanMrMustardSeed · 07/12/2019 08:56

@loveliesbleeding1 from Amazon! I recommended it a few threads ago but wanted to give it another mention!

PigAuntie · 07/12/2019 08:58

I need a grey (or yellow) chunky knit blanket. Has anyone seen any for a good price anywhere?

Jacopone · 07/12/2019 08:59

I was in Sainsbury’s yesterday (London) and there were many Harry Potter advent calendars reduced to £5. As some other poster suggested earlier, the little pieces put could be stocking fillers. Not sure if it’s great value but might be useful. They also had Frozen, Paw Patrol, Toy Story and Friends calendars.
Sensibly resisted as I really have far too many presents.

@1122christy & @Freeekedout thank you for those recommendations. That Funko game was a brilliant discount, and I shall be whizzing off to Dobbies later to look for bargainatous discounted advent calendars.

Jacopone · 07/12/2019 09:03

HP advent calendar

NeedMoreTea · 07/12/2019 09:04

@Jacopone I'm after a discounted HP Lego Advent. Did they have any of those reduced in Sainsbury's?

Freeekedout · 07/12/2019 09:05

@NeedMoreTea They only had a few Playmobil advent calendars in our Dobbies. Lots of other bargains though 😊

Jacopone · 07/12/2019 09:08

No HP Lego, I’m afraid. Didn’t see any at all.

PrettyPurpleFeather · 07/12/2019 09:11

I bought 4 Christmas seasalt jute bags that I didn't need at 3am thanks to a poster who alerted me to the 2 for £10 offer! ShockConfusedBlush

Whattodowithaminute · 07/12/2019 09:13

Thanks @ThePurpleGirl !

Mitsufishi · 07/12/2019 09:19

Sorry for being an unhelpful lurker, but can anyone remind me which thread the sketchbook project where you do a sketchbook and send it to a Brooklyn art gallery was talked about on? I've just realised what a great gift it would be for someone.

NeedMoreTea · 07/12/2019 09:34

@Whattodowithaminute our favourite Orchard Toys games are Lunchbox (v similar to shopping list), Doodlebugs, and Scaredy-cat. We also really like Party Party but that might be too old for 3 yrs. Doodle bugs and Scaredy-cat are a different playing style to the Lunchbox/Shopping list type games.
