Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

Thanks for the sylvanian families tip, I'm impressed

CheekyFucker · 06/12/2019 21:04

When I ordered it clearly stated it would be dispatched on 12th Dec which is fine for me. Thankfully I do not need them.

Fingers and toes crossed.

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin I am reassured you were paying attention and noticed it was a secure checkout. Thank you.

Themazeoflife · 06/12/2019 21:07

christmassymcchristmas

She said, she did receive her other items ordered, just not the hamper yet.

starrynight19 · 06/12/2019 21:08

Another one sitting it out for the hamper. I previously ordered a bargain hamper a few years ago. It actually arrived Xmas eve. There was a lot of controversy surrounding that. Hopefully this is the same and we get our goods. If not it’s only £10 and I will chase a refund. Do feel for those who have ordered multiples as presents. I hope they turn out to be genuine Hmm

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 21:14

@Themazeoflife maybe I'm reading it wrong but I read "and like others I haven't received my hampers yet"

Who knows 🤷🏽‍♀️ time will tell

Theonlyoneiknow · 06/12/2019 21:16

sorry if already posted but polly pocket mall on a deal on amazon for £12 and hairdorables are £4.50

LazyDaisey · 06/12/2019 21:16

@christmassymcchristmas what do 18,000 posts have to do with reading a thread? It was thread 11 where a poster mentioned she ordered a £20 hamper and subsequently got an email with a voucher to buy a second one for £12. Middle of page 13, if you’d like to look it up. Page 14 and people are calling it dodgy, warning others one company was dissolved and another just started up in April and mid page, someone points out the 19 year listed as a director has a criminal record. Hardly “missable”

PrettyPurpleFeather · 06/12/2019 21:22

Kutsy the works and Lidl/Aldi have inexpensive felt and wicker hamper baskets.

SmallAndFarAway · 06/12/2019 21:23

@ LikeSilver, teh Polly Pocket mall was 40 pounds during the summer according to camel camel camel, so excellent bargain - thank you!

Themazeoflife · 06/12/2019 21:25

@christmassymcchristmas

If you look at the messages above the one about her hamper not arriving yet, she has written, She had ordered something, it didn't arrive when expected, she messaged them, they sent her out another item which was more expensive, free of charge, with next day delivery and told her to keep the other item with their compliments.

Then she goes on to say, she has not received her hamper yet, she is not expecting it till next week, the same as everyone else.

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 21:26

@LazyDaisey I just pop in and out if I have time. Might not be for days. I definitely missed it but that could just be me!

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 21:28

Ah, fair enough maze. Promising that she's actually received something. I'm going to hold on anyway, if hampers don't come FIL will enjoy regaling the story of how I bought him a scam for Xmas Grin

LazyDaisey · 06/12/2019 21:31

Our generation well travelled luggage set accessories down to £25.60 on Amazon from £34. Lowest price this year according to camelcamelcamel.

Themazeoflife · 06/12/2019 21:34

@christmassymcchristmas
One of mine is for my FIL, I can imagine mine saying the same too and then reminding us every subsequent Christmas, to not let DH trust me with any present buying ever again.

LazyDaisey · 06/12/2019 21:38

@Theonlyoneiknow thanks for the Hairdorables tip! There’s a minimum of 2 but at £4.50 it’s still cheaper than the regular £15 price!! And it’s series 3 so not offloading the old series 1 or 2

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 21:39

Ha, if it gets me out of the present buying I'll be happy Grin

Themazeoflife · 06/12/2019 21:42

DH is telling me to just wait, he is saying give the kids a chance and next year they know to hire more staff, get the hampers posted out when bought, rather that waiting and trying to do them all at once.

I also have a gorgeous shop 20% discount code I won't use if anyone wants to PM me for it.

Winterwarmer21 · 06/12/2019 21:43

@LazyDaisey I’ve never heard of hairdorables before. Was going to buy one for DD but the minimum buy made me reconsider. Are they suitable for a 3 year old or not?

LazyDaisey · 06/12/2019 21:54

Not sure Winterwarmer. They’re a bit like LOL in that they have blind bags but they’re such better value for what you get and have lovely hair. They’re about the same size as Shimmer and Shine dollies. Mine preferred dolls that had a tv show tie-in at that age.

Zillaindie · 06/12/2019 22:00

Sorry Im on the app so cant tag, but thank you for the slipper recommendations.
Think i will give TKMax a try. The lakeland offer is good but with postage it was up to £27 which is a bit too much as we have already bought gifts before she told us to get these.

Lurleene · 06/12/2019 22:18

Kutsy Seasalt have gorgeous large jute shoppers, including Christmas designs at 2 for 10 pounds plus smaller ones at 2 for 7. Free delivery too.
www.seasaltcornwall.co.uk/accessories/jute-bag-promotion
I am waiting on three hampers plus other bits and bobs. A few years ago I ordered a load of hampers that failed to materialise and had a very stressful Christmas eve. As far as I know on that occasion it wasn't a scam but the business owner had bitten off more than he could chew. If I have done it again I'll swear off hampers for life!

101Robin · 06/12/2019 22:19

Word of warning, if you want something from WHSmiths, get it in store. The click & collect system has been giving me the run around for absolutely ages. The emails mean nothing, the packages are lost, the staff know nothing.

Kutsy · 06/12/2019 22:19

Thanks @Smelly50 and @PrettyPurpleFeather. I will go and source some jute bags and then try and fill them with some goodies. Thinking shortbread, fudge, chocolates, tea, mince pies etc, similar to hgc offer! Any one have any recommendations on fudge? Have seen loads in the shops but any particular recommendations would be most welcome. Otherwise I will just have to buy and sample a few boxes and not sure that will be good for my waistline! 😁

Kutsy · 06/12/2019 22:21

@Lurleene thank you, will look at sea salt jute bags!
