Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

Hopefully they’ll get the justice they deserve

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 11:46

Oh they will. He's not thought it through, registering with companies house, using his real name, dealing outside court.

Britain's dumbest criminal 😂

thesoo · 06/12/2019 11:46

@Fuckingfuckssake I have done that thanks. They have opened a case for the transaction

Bluewavescrashing · 06/12/2019 11:55

Hamper people, I hope you get your money back. Bloody scumbags.

Can anyone help me find a Hermione wand for a 9 year old--a nice one in a box please? EBay is full f cheap ones from China but I'm worried they are crap. Thanks 😁

imsorryiasked · 06/12/2019 12:04

@Bluewavescrashing argos and smyths have the light painting wand

Mistressiggi · 06/12/2019 12:10

ALL the negative Facebook comments have gone and there are now loads berating others for not being patient!
I'm still hoping for a Christmas miracle - but I only ordered one hamper so can afford to be nonchalant about it. Still very annoying for others though.

Fuckingfuckssake · 06/12/2019 12:11

They've now completely blocked me from the FB page!!

Oh I’m glad I didn’t buy a hamper! Fingers crossed everyone gets their money back.

@Bluewavescrashing we have quite a few HP wands and we always get the Noble collection ones (they’re the ones sold at the studios etc but you can get them on amazon). They are pricier but the quality is lovely. I’d only get these if you were using them as a collection piece rather than a toy, but they are quite sturdy too. We get the ones that come in a lovely display box but they do smaller collector ones I just haven’t tried those.
If you wanted for more of a toy, then I’d get hermiones light painting wand instead.

Tiredmummyof3 · 06/12/2019 12:42

With the hampers, I don't understand if it is a scam why they are continuing to email people and write posts to suggest that it isn't a scam?! I ordered two plus other stuff in their 50% sale 😭. I paid with a pre paid MasterCard so I think the chances of me getting any money back is extremely low! Fingers crossed!

TheGriffle · 06/12/2019 12:45

I ordered 3 hampers back in November and a further £25 worth of stuff in the Black Friday sale. I did mine on a credit card so hopefully should be able to claim it back I’m guessing. I’m still naively holding out hope but if nothing appears by next week I’ll have to ring the bank.

gaggiagirl · 06/12/2019 12:49

@Bluewavescrashing I bought DD the Argos one and it snapped quickly but it was nice for a few days. I think it was £12..99. Also got the aldi one also £12.99 also snapped. B and M have them in now .

NotUnderMyHeart · 06/12/2019 12:49

Oops, I’ve ordered 3 different hampers and some other stuff too. Hmmm will wait a while and then claim if nothing’s forthcoming!

Ok I need your help lovely people! A friend of mine is hosting a family who has had to flee from their home for dinner over Xmas (how lovely is she!). I’ve offered to help with some gifts for the children. So, looking for something really lovely for about £5ish each for girls toddler to 10ish and young teen boys. Any fabulous ideas that I can buy online (preferably free delivery!) would be amazing please!

NoWordForFluffy · 06/12/2019 12:52

If you're worried, just ask the company for a refund before going to your bank, I'd have thought?

christmassymcchristmas · 06/12/2019 12:52

@Tiredmummyof3 they're keeping up the pretence because they think it's convincing. Probably sat having a spliff laughing at all the "stupid people".

He's a young lad with very few scruples, probably thinks it's funny.

They haven't responded to my emails!

PinkJam · 06/12/2019 12:53

Bloom & Wild flowers £10 off first order with code: JB33DH

It’s a code from a leaflet that came with an order from JoJo Maman Bebe so not a referral or anything like that.

They do letterbox flowers, plants and even tiny Christmas trees! Order up to 10pm for free next day delivery.

BarkandCheese · 06/12/2019 13:01

Poundland have lots of annuals for £1. I took a photo because I knew I’d forget what they all were. On the far right in the middle is an avengers sketch book. I had a look at it and it’s really nice, each page has a picture of a superhero and the facing page is blank for you to draw on. It’d be a nice stocking filler for an older child.

wineoclockthanks · 06/12/2019 13:02

Re hampers, are my bank being very cautious? I phoned to ask for a refund (having had no reply from company) and because I paid by credit card, they suggested I cancel the card because he could theoretically take other transactions.
It will be a nightmare not having a cc just before Christmas. Xx

Bluewavescrashing · 06/12/2019 13:02

Thanks, I've ordered the light painting wand. I think she'll want to wave it about so hopefully it's sturdy. It's from argos at £18.75. They seem to be pretty good with returns if there's a problem

IdleBet · 06/12/2019 13:12

Mistressiggi I'm holding out aswell for a week, only one hamper ordered. It just means trying to think of something else now for a gift Crown Hmm

PinkJam · 06/12/2019 13:14

@wineoclockthanks I’m trying to remember but was it a direct check out to give card details or did it use like an external provider to take the details? Like Sage. If it used an external provider then the dodgy company shouldn’t be able to access the specific details anyway.

I will go and check in a minute on their website to see how they processed the transactions.

PinkJam · 06/12/2019 13:14

Though I would say to be cautious it probably is best to cancel the card.
