Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

sugerplumfairy2010 Aldi have little round tubs of small Individually wrapped chocolate snowmen (along with tubs of Santa’s and penguins I think) for around £1.50. I got one for my DDs stocking because they looked a bit more interesting than the usual gold coins.

Reluctantbettlynch · 05/12/2019 18:30

Anyone seen bargains on Nintendo switch/ switch lite? 🙈 saw bargains when I didn't need one 🙄

CheekyFucker · 05/12/2019 18:31

@WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles and @PoopaPoopa I think you have both been rather harsh.

nightcap · 05/12/2019 19:13

nosquirrels the story emails are such a nice idea, thank you! I'll take a look as would love something like that for my parent. Have another family member who would be perfect for it but unfortunately has a life-limiting illness and much less than a year left Sad

Nice to know it's been so comforting for you and your mum.

LadyNina00 · 05/12/2019 19:14

deeplybaffled · 05/12/2019 19:24

@NotReve thank you for this!

If you’ve already subscribed, how easy would it be to pass it on to someone else as a gift, please? Is it a link I could just forward?

strictlymomdancing · 05/12/2019 19:40

I could get to Boots, Asda and Morrisons tomorrow although DD has tonsilitis and does not want to leave the house so I might not manage to get anywhere.

TheLastQueenOfPop · 05/12/2019 19:42

Anyone looking for shoes, Hotter are having a flash sale- all boots reduced to £49 and shoes to £39.

They have eclectic styles, some really Supergran type styles and some really fashion forward styles and colours. No rhyme or reason as sometimes the same show comes in both amazing and crap colours or patterns. Whatever, they are really comfortable shoes.

Bought some for mum, best friend Halo and me Crown Grin

Any ideas for a crafty 4 year old. Loves junk modelling, clay etc. Wondering about fimo as he always wants to paint his clay models but not sure if it's too old for him? Budget up to £50 from nana but could be a single gift or lots of bits...?!

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 05/12/2019 20:00

BedTimeAt8 · 05/12/2019 20:01

Thank you all so much for these wonderful threads, I've been following for years, but am rarely quick enough to post any bargains!

Hoping someone might be able to help. I need a gift for a couple who have everything. they are amazing friends and have truly been wonderful this year so want to get them something thoughtful. No alcohol or food gifts. I've got them a photo of my DD but otherwise I'm stuck. I'm on SMP so thoughtful without costing the earth would be fab.

Re the cheapie AirPods (public service announcement) the i12 TWS In white are pretty bomb proof. I started buying them when they were only i9s and they were quite hit and miss. I think they've improved their tech no end. They connect automatically out of the case and are a doddle to pair first off. I've given i12s off eBay to my DD and Ds and I use my pair every day to commute and block out background noise in the office. They are great.

Dreamingofwalden · 05/12/2019 20:12

@Yeknom

I don’t know the company but this set looks cute. SMART - Wooden Chocolate Box - Childrens Play Food Set [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07W4DNRMG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Eow6Db8JY8E2S?tag=mumsnetforu03-21 toy]]

Sorry struggling with links tonight Xmas Blush

doistayordoigo · 05/12/2019 20:17

For the i12 pods are they compatible with Samsung phones? I'm not very tech savvy but DS has asked for some wireless bluetooth earpods, so would these be suitable? And if so, which UK ebay sellers would you recommend?

Mistressiggi · 05/12/2019 20:22

@Becles curse you for that Hotter heads up! GrinGrin Some slippers and Donna shoes heading towards me. If anyone else succumbs to temptation, use this HOTTERFD to get free delivery.

You can get a second hand pair of Samsung earbuds for £100 ours come with the smaller set of the plastic bits that go in the ears still sealed in the packaging, so we used them instead of the pair I assumed had been used.

Fuckingfuckssake · 05/12/2019 20:49

So I finally have my DD's letter to Santa, it involves Buildabear, I've signed up and have fabricated a birthday this month, does anyone know what kind of thing they're likely to give me? I have £35's worth of clothes in my basket that are all in the 30% off sale, Is there any way of telling when they're on offer till? All this is completely new to me. Thank you.

Sixp · 05/12/2019 20:51

Thank you again everyone for all the ideas. I’m going to get her a locket from the Locket Tree, just looking for a discount. Trust me to need to shop after Black Friday!

doistayordoigo · 05/12/2019 20:57

Thanks Themazeoflife I'm not sure I'm willing to spend that much though!

Does anyone have a code or voucher for Lakeland? I had one in the post but DH appears to have cleared up and thrown it away!
