Thank you @luckiestgirl for the title which came from her post which I’ve copied below

‘I twitched on the moles.
And the Clinique
And at body shop (30% off)
And at love honey (I got £20 off)
And I’ve somehow bought an 8 foot Christmas tree.
And lights
And a TV.
And a fitness tracker.
And stocking fillers for the kids.

Oh god, stop me now please‘

Thanks @Grafittiqueen. I guess I am just a bit sceptical as to why they need to 'fake' reviews if they are decent enough!

PinkDaydreams · 05/12/2019 15:14

For anyone that’s ordered a free wrap slider Childrens book form bean and sparks, is the subscription easy enough to cancel?

PinkDaydreams · 05/12/2019 15:15

Wrap slider?! Stupid autocorrect, that was meant to say personalised! Hmm

Youvegotafriendinme · 05/12/2019 15:16

@Yeknom what about this? set

Grafittiqueen · 05/12/2019 15:22

Hoverboards are reduced to £99.99 for the first 100 customers on IWOOT with code HELIX

Puffinhead · 05/12/2019 15:28

@tisonlymeagain, I’ve just bought my 2 DD the i12 ear phones for Christmas - they were £12.99 each off eBay. My DH has tried them out and they seem to work ok. My girls have old iPhones (5 & 5s), I was concerned they wouldn’t work using an old Bluetooth version but it seems fine.

Yeknom · 05/12/2019 15:30

@imsorryiasked thanks, I saw that one but she already had a load of the cakes, and the big birthday cake that you can slice

@Youvegotafriendinme I didn't see that one thank you- I'll have a proper look

I've seen the bigjigs biscuit set which looks cute and biscuits she'll recognise so wondering whether I can fob her off with that?! Confused

SlipASomethingUnderThe · 05/12/2019 15:52

@sugarplumfairy2010 contact amazon through chat on the app they should refund you some money if it didn't state in the order details the box was ripped

Thanks @Winterwarmer21 I'm going to order one now

Your welcome @PinkJam I can't wait to give DD hers, she doesn't know it exists

SlipASomethingUnderThe · 05/12/2019 15:55

@PinkDaydreams it's really easy to cancel, I've just saw this month's and really want it for DD but I've already used the offer

Christmascookiesmmmm · 05/12/2019 15:58

This isn’t particularly bargainous as it’s always this price I think, but I just bought this reusable sandwich bag as a stocking filler for DP and it seems lovely with nice packaging so thought it would be a nice useful ethical gift idea for teens/partners. They have lots of different styles (more than on this link) if you search amazon for ‘boc n roll’ . I know amazon isn’t most ethical but I couldn’t find anywhere else stocking such a variety. He uses sandwich bags plus kitchen roll everyday so this will really cut down on plastic use, and seems like it’ll last- dishwasher safe too!!

Sorry keep forgetting how to do nice links..

www.amazon.co.uk/Rolleat-BocnRoll-Sandwich-Ecological-Adjustable/dp/B01CU2I818/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?psc=1&keywords=boc+n+roll&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyVFJSU0hWODM5RU9YJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODM3MjA3MzQyOFBDR0I1Nk03NCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTg4MzE1WjJQOFk0UzBGMkVTJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1575561372&sr=8-1-spons

I ordered a plain dark grey one can’t find link anymore but you’ll find them if you search like I said :)

strictlymomdancing · 05/12/2019 16:11

oh FFS I've just been told of another secret santa I've to do tomorrow. The text said up to £1 but I think that's a typo and it was meant to be £10. argh. what do I do then?

PinkDaydreams · 05/12/2019 16:14

@SlipASomethingUnderThe it says it takes up to 3 weeks to arrive, did you wait until you’d received the book and then cancelled the dd?

starrynight19 · 05/12/2019 16:27

I saw someone asking about Victoria’s secrets 40GIFTUK will get you 40% off an item and SHIP50UK gets free delivery over £50.

NotReve · 05/12/2019 16:54

Not sure if there will be much interest in this but for hard to by for sports fans...

The Athletic is a relatively new online sports newspaper/journalism platform. They have basically gone round and got the best and most ‘in the know’ writer for each football club, as well as all the other sports and American sports etc. A lot of the articles are on the inner workings of clubs and really interesting. Anyway, it is usually £59.99 for a year subscription but at the moment it is £20.40 for the year: Link

Promise I don’t work for them! just that I’ve subscribed myself and very impressed.

LikeSilver · 05/12/2019 17:03

No bargain sadly, but I can’t tell anyone in RL in case they let on, and I’m absolutely bursting to tell DH I’ve managed to get him Pearl Jam tickets for Christmas! I don’t think he has realised they are touring yet but he will be SO SO SO excited Xmas Grin

starrynight19 · 05/12/2019 17:15

Notreve that looks good. How does it work as a gift can’t see from that link ? Thanks

NotReve · 05/12/2019 17:25

@starrynight19 I’ve just looked and I think this is the gift link theathletic.com/checkout/?type=gift&plan=215/ it seems to be a bit more but you get a free t shirt, otherwise I imagine the easiest / cheapest way might be to set up an account and then pass the details on perhaps!

imsorryiasked · 05/12/2019 17:32

@strictlymomdancing what shops can you get to / what have you already got that could be repurposed. And who is the secret Santa recipient?

PinkDaydreams · 05/12/2019 17:33

Peppa pig and paw patrol advent calendars reduced to £10 in Asda. Might be worth getting for next year?!

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 05/12/2019 17:37

@Yeknom they had a couple of Jellycat plush toys in my local TKMaxx this morning, I wasn't paying attention so don't know if there were unicorns, worth a look if you have one close by.

Yeknom · 05/12/2019 17:49

@yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear oooh I will! Any chance for a TK MAXX browse 🤣! Thanks for the tip off...love your username too x

Purpletigers · 05/12/2019 17:55

Amazon wouldn’t post the EarPods to NI so I found these on eBay for £10 and 40% of a second pair .
