@PinkDaydreams the keyrings are not BOGOF any more but I still think they are good value for something personalised especially if they are for people who have unusual names

I haven't decided whether to let my boys have them as part of their presents or keep them to reuse every year for their stockings

gaggiagirl · 15/11/2019 06:42

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts that's good to know thank you! I think chasing one down would be costly in petrol so it's good to know if it's worth the effort. Doesn't sound as if it is.

Thank you dazzling, I’ve snagged the bottom one

SushiGo · 15/11/2019 07:15

Thanks dazzling I took the top one! (had tried the generic early bird code from earlier in the thread but it didn't work for me.)

Photobox - have sent me a free small photo book code (just pay postage) makes a sweet gift for someone with a new baby or similar. Email says code is unique to my email address so check your emails!

LazyDaisey · 15/11/2019 07:24

@BubbleTravel, hobbycraft have a cardboard calendar for £5 that looks the same size as most beauty calendars. Or if you could make a punch out calendar out of cups (maybe in shape of a tree) like this.

I need inspiration.

I have 5 gifts left.

My dad - normally do an experience voucher. He likes cars etc. Not football, alcohol, doesn't read. Budget £15-20

My childminders and cleaner -normally get a meal out voucher from buyagift but they have t gone so cheap this year

Secret Santa - very very busy. Gift has to be posted. Vegan. £10 limit

Any ideas?

There was a conversation a few threads back about the Lakeland Bethlehem Advent Stable. Now down to £48.99 and I managed to get an extra £5 off using a voucher that came with Good Housekeeping. Delivery is free over £40.

@TakeMeToYourLiar I usually get two of my nephews and their girlfriends a meal voucher but like you found they were a bit over budget this year. I have found Groupon and Wowcher vouchers for sharing plates/afternoon tea at dessert cafes were lower priced though; is that something you could consider instead? I think I saw a couple on BuyAGift too (think they were London).

Notlongnow1 · 15/11/2019 08:26

Buyagift have £10 off £20+ spend with DEAL10. Today only.

recklessgran · 15/11/2019 08:27

Sux2buthen · 15/11/2019 08:28

I might have imagined it but somewhere I'm sure I've seen a Santa and sleigh or a train that goes on the tree or around the tree.... maybe it moves🤔
Anyway I'm not sure if anyone else has any clue what I think I mean but I can't find it anywhere. If anyone does please tell me lol

flooredbored · 15/11/2019 08:29

Someone was looking for OMG crystal star dolls. I just got one online at ASDA. You will probably need to be quick.

@Takemetoyouliar my vegan go to this year would be the 15 minute vegan cookery book. A few different ones on Wordery free p+p.
[ DD2 is a vegan and swears by these.]

Dolphintrainer · 15/11/2019 08:48

@Sneezein3s we had that problem a couple of years ago, so I bought my son an inflatable PlayStation chair. Cost less than £20 and we inflated it. Looked great with his presents sat on it! The arms of the chair had PlayStation a controller printed on them. I’m sure a google could track down something similar.

wibdib · 15/11/2019 08:50

@Sux2buthen I remember something like that - maybe Lidl or ALDI comes to mind.

Or try googling tree on a train or flying Santa on eBay and Amazon - I also remember seeing a Santa thing to attach to a Christmas tree trunk to fly around it...

dancemom · 15/11/2019 08:59

Ariana Grande Moonlight Perfume 30ml £13

Lurleene · 15/11/2019 09:07

In Lidl last night they had cans of Duff Beer ( ie the beer from The Simpsons). I bought one for DH's stocking, it was £1.25. I'm sure he will enjoy trying it and DS will be very amused to watch him!

I also got DD a cheap stocking filler from Home Bargains. They had some very pretty pink suede effect notebooks with an embossed gold initial for £1.50 or thereabouts. They look nice quality, the sort that would be at least a tenner in a nice-things shop.

flutterbean · 15/11/2019 09:12
