@username2020 How about the Darren Shan series? Or Skullduggery Pleasant? The Alex Rider and Young Bond series are both good too.

ClaraLane · 15/11/2019 09:17

Has anyone seen an offer for the Percy the Parkkeeper books set please? They’re out of stock on Amazon and about £16 on Book People. DD2.5 is obsessed with Percy!

TakeMeToYourLiar · 15/11/2019 09:27

Thanks @Notlongnow1 got my Dad high speed car laps for £10, perfect for him

Sux2buthen · 15/11/2019 09:28

Sux2buthen · 15/11/2019 09:29

Thankyou @qate I actually really like that 🤔

qate · 15/11/2019 09:40

@Sux2buthen excellent! I'm sure I've seen one somewhere else too - if I remember where, I'll let you know!

springlike · 15/11/2019 09:46

Any idea if North Face boys coats are likely to be in Black Friday sales?

SleeptightDaisy · 15/11/2019 09:50

@Sux2buthen I think lots of people bought a Christmas train that went around the tree from Cox and Cox using the £20 codes on the referral thread

Yeknom · 15/11/2019 10:09

@ClaraLane Percy is always in our charity shops! Might be worth a look!!

Yeknom · 15/11/2019 10:10

And thank you to everyone for the Sainsburys help! I managed to get £100 of goodies (ahem mainly wine) with my nectar points. Just paid another £9 in cash for other bits and pieces. Very happy! x

OutnumberedByFurchesters · 15/11/2019 10:19

Great idea for an advent calendar for stone/fossil fans! The Stone Science museum in Anglesey, Wales will send you out a 24 piece specimen kit to fill your own calendar with. We have visited the centre a few times and my DS aged 11 will love this. £12 plus £3 p+p.

Bluewavescrashing · 15/11/2019 11:16

Amazon mini wooden Christmas tree arrived today 😍🎄 it is very cute and has cheered me up!

DangerousMouse · 15/11/2019 11:29

Thanks so much for the stones advent ida, I have a set on the way!

I'm on the home straight now, coming in for sprint finish - pretty much last thing to find is some bracelets for DD advent calendar, I'm looking for some stacking bracelets I can split, any ideas? I'm not taken with Accessorize bracelets even though the price is perfect!

imsorryiasked · 15/11/2019 11:34

@DangerousMouse have you looked at Claire's? Eg these

DangerousMouse · 15/11/2019 11:37

Thanks, they need to be foldable for the calendar! Claires is a bit young for her, she's a nightmare actually, everything has to be branded.. To be fair she does pay for her own branded things all year, but I don't mind spending a little bit on these if they are good quality. She doesn't mind asos and have found a few in there

BigmouseLittlehouse · 15/11/2019 11:38

Hello everyone

I’m looking for some secret Santa inspiration. I have to buy for a good friend, budget £12 - £15. She doesn’t really drink or cook - quite tricky to buy for. She is a single mum ( like me), did mention she wanted to make more of an effort with Xmas decs this year so I was half considering a lovely decoration, possibly her and her DC initialA or something. If anyone has seen anything please say! Or if you have any other brilliant ideas Smile

imsorryiasked · 15/11/2019 11:39

@DangerousMouse ah ok! (Although to get round the size issue in the past I've had a"lucky dip bag" and put a note in the advent drawer instead).

imsorryiasked · 15/11/2019 11:41

DangerousMouse how about these
