@teaorwine Do you mind me asking if he’s not getting a phone because of the cost of a phone or because you don’t want him to have a phone?

Because for the price of a switch you could get an older iPhone model or a not quite so old Samsung/huwawei/etc phone, particularly second hand.
You could make him use it without a SIM card in - so no phone facility - it would be a bit like using an iPod instead.
Would have the advantage that he could download lots of free apps and games - one disadvantage of the switch is that the big current games are all expensive...

You would also get serious fab mummy points if he thinks he isn’t allowed a phone and gets one.

We got ds a second hand phone from Argos on Black Friday - not as cheap as getting one randomly off eBay but meant it had a year’s guarantee and had been properly checked and reset. Other people on these threads have recommended music magpie too for good secondhand phones.

No cancellation here yet but I will await it with anticipation. To be fair to them I do understand, but I also think it’s pretty poor customer service to change the rules on a code AFTER it’s been released and used and accepted. If they honoured the code I suspect people would be more inclined to use them again, but I know I wouldn’t buy from them again if they then rescind a code that THEY made a mistake on. (As I said above - I went in to order a second pair for myself having already ordered for DD1 and it had auto filled the code already so to pay full price I would have had to manually remove it - thereby giving a clear indication that they were happy for it to be used more than once per customer)

There are sheepskin liners on ebay for £3 a pair inc postage. They are already cut to size and very fluffy. Great for getting an ugg feel to normal shoes!
