Jingle those bells because it’s time for thread 1!

The aim of this thread is to share ideas for Christmas bargains and present ideas and a little bit of Christmas chat etc. I’ll try my best to do a post with the most popular links, if there’s anything specific you’d like me to add or if something I’ve put up doesn’t work please let me know in bold . Thank you

As usual no affiliate links (I’m still not exactly sure what they are but consensus was not to have them) and if we have any sites to post personal sign up links we’ll do this on a separate thread so all can post their links, I’ll do this when —I get around to it— soon.

Got some Lands End slippers. £35 discounted to £10 and then the code to get them for £7. It's a shame I can't just shove them in the washing machine but the good price is worth it

101Robin do you have a discount code for Lands End please? Thanks anyway if it’s personal to you.

BrightonBB · 29/08/2019 18:39

Lands End website - is there a way to go back after looking at something without having to scroll down through everything again? It drives me crazy and I tend to give up. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2019 18:42

@Pannalash, it's DM30PC for 30% off if you spend £30.

Isadora2007 · 29/08/2019 18:49

Is it possible to stack the free delivery and 30% off?

margaritasbythesea · 29/08/2019 18:57

Brighton BBC not as far as I can tell. It's very annoying.

I have just bought loads of clothing for dcs for a steal, though. Thank you very much!

ILoveGroot · 29/08/2019 19:03

Exciting!!!

Another one using the Lands End code. Personalised children’s beach towels are £8.40. I ordered two for DDs, in the sale but without the extra 30% off (grr) and the quality was good, I was impressed. So ordered extra lot for presents as extra swim towels which don’t need naming are always useful. I think they are closest to last year’s Lands Ends blankets which are still loved in our house. Also Mountain Warehouse have mini children’s rucksacks in their sale for £4.99 which again strikes me as a useful present. It’s okay I do buy fun impractical gifts as well!

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2019 19:16

I missed that in M&S! Must go back tomorrow! Too exciting!

I got 2 summer school dresses from M&S for £4.20. I was excited about that. 😂

Reastie · 29/08/2019 19:18

You all just made me spend £70 in lands end!

Have fun @loonylunaloo. Some great ideas :-)

101Robin · 29/08/2019 19:22

Pannalash yes it's DM30PC for Landsend but I didn't spend as much as £30. It worked when I spent only £10 on a sale item.

I found the website a complete ball ache to use, constantly crashing.

Reastie · 29/08/2019 19:23

I’ve set up a referral thread here if anyone would like to add their links

I couldn’t get free delivery to stack. The website was a pita for me too.

I just noticed on TK Maxx website that they have some character cushions - Lego ones, Harry Potter and some girly ones too.

MrsBungle · 29/08/2019 19:31

Apologies if someone has already posted this - 20% off newlook.

Yes, sorry all, the Lands End 30% off code cancels out the free P&P but does work no matter how little you spend. I agree the website is annoyingly slow to load and doesn't take you back to where you were if you get me. However, it's worth persevering I think to get some great bargains. I also love that you can phone and add things to your order up to 10.00pm without being penalised.

Cherryrainbow · 29/08/2019 19:51

It looks like Tesco are clearing some toys and expanding the toy aisles to make way for more stuff! A lot of rick and morty, funko pop and arty stuff.

My first xmas purchase for lil man was.... 3 x ready to robot packs. Down to 2.50 each. They each come with all the parts to build up a robot as well as slime and you can swap parts around etc.

hoopdeloop · 29/08/2019 19:56

For my 1.5 year old we are thinking about a wooden tool bench. I can’t find the links for the recommendations other people posted if anyone could help please Grin

TheFatberg · 29/08/2019 20:30

@hoopdeloop There was one posted from the Studio website if you have a search on there.

imsorryiasked · 29/08/2019 20:48

@BrightonBB and others struggling with lands end website on phone - if you touch and hold on the item title you'll feet a choice of opening item in a new tab. You can then look at it and add to basket if you want. Once you've finished all your shopping if you refresh a page it should have all of the items in your basket.
Otherwise I found filtering by price e.g. in lots of £10 wasn't to bad.
Thanks for the tips and codes.

Jessica78 · 29/08/2019 20:52

Thanks for the Lands End tip, I too used the code and got a monogrammed shawl for my Mum (£20.30) from £48.50 and the waxed canvas backpack for DH - £28.70 from £120!

bumblebe · 29/08/2019 21:57

Also ended up buying lands end slippers...for myself 🤔 xx
