Hi guys, no sadly. I have just vegged out all day, watching reruns of Bake Off (when it was good on the beeb) .

I made a cottage pie today. Every time I make it, I forget just how long it takes and always regret not buying enough stuff to batch cook it.

Morning!

Bit of a dull and damp start, but supposedly improving later. I hope so; I detest wet lunches. I walked along the Mersey yesterday. It's quite an impressive body of water actually!

Another late night last night. Cross stitching keeps me up, as I'm all 'just one more bit' or 'I'll just finish this thread / section'!

If you can get a Metro today, there's a £5 off £25 to use by next Weds in there. I've got a reminder to get one from the station!

Nero, the affiliate link argument happens every year. And every year people are as they've no idea what one is or if they've posted it! And most people don't give a shit either!

So here is what I have. I intend to put little notes of activities in it (would love some tips on that for a 2.5 y/o!). I've also got some paints. Sadly I am both crap at crafting and a perfectionist so keep putting it off for fear of ruining it!

I'd stick to green tree and red drawers. Keep it simple!

I've had a quick look on Pinterest Filthy and really like this one. It's simple and striking.

Woolly that is lovely. I find myself on Pinterest a lot lately. I love it , so engrossed in it. I have over 3000 pics of Princess Diana now , a lot of them l don't remember or have never seen. I so admired her 😍

There's normally a Matalan discount code 2-3 weeks after the Christmas stuff goes on sale, so sit on your hands for a bit! Tricky, I know!

I'll make a start tonight and post some update pics. I am not good enough to do drawings on the doors, but I got some bits to decorate so will stick one on each drawer.

What sort of things do you all think will work with a 2.5 y/o? So far I'm thinking:

Get a hot chocolate at Costa (he weirdly loves it in there!)
Decorate a pine cone
Drive round to look at lights
Do some festive baking
Make a christmas card for someone (daddy or grandparents)
Go to a garden centre
Go to a carol service

I need more!

Visit Santa
Have a North Pole breakfast
Go to the shops and buy Daddy's Christmas present from DS
Write and post a letter to Santa (do this one early so you still have plenty of time to find any presents that might blindside you)

My children were too old when this started to be a thing but they would have loved it. Some Beefeater type places do breakfast with Santa too.

Ah love this, will definitely incorporate this in the calendar. We have pancakes on Christmas morning so will leave those out but will find something that works!

We went to visit mil's grave today, but it was pouring down so couldn't stay too long. Went for lunch too and have barely been able to move since.

It looks like the weather is improving, as forecast. Who'd have thought we'd have a nice bank holiday. By my reckoning, that's 4/5 of the spring / summer bank holidays which will have been nice this year. Not bad!

I'm seeing the ortho on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll be discharged.
