Peaky Blinders , my DD1 loves it. l know the writing and casting is fabulous but it is too much for me. l don't like the violence in it Hmm a a bit sensitive cry baby boo boo Grin

NerosFiddle · 25/08/2019 13:49

I've tried a few times to watch it but just couldn't get into it.

Enjoy Glasgow Fluffy.

I had a hot chocolate earlier to try and make it seem more festive, but it's just too warm.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/08/2019 14:18

It's bloody boiling here! We're in Kelvingrove museum. We'll go to play at the park tomorrow morning when a) it's cooler and b) the Scottish kids are at school so it's quieter.

Hey guys

Sorry I’ve not been around as much. Dislocated my shoulder twice in two days this week so now in a sling waiting for an mri and some physio :( it’s a regular occurrence but becoming more frequent

NoWordForFluffy · 25/08/2019 16:57

Oh no, side. I hope it's sorted soon. I know that once they dislocate it's more likely to happen again. Can they fix it surgically?

OP posts:
sideorderofchips · 25/08/2019 18:31

Not sure. Got the mri and physio then to see the shoulder doc

Been on and off since I first did it four years ago

This is the first time I’ve been seen mind

CrazyBaubles · 25/08/2019 18:37

Neros you must be exhausted!

70 I desperately want to like Peaky Blinders but have tried to watch it twice and couldn't get into it

Fluffy have a lovely time in Glasgow

I can't believe you're all having a heatwave at home. It's 9degrees here - it dropped to 0 last night (although we were quite high up a mountain and we're very far north).
We saw the Northern Lights!! They were faint and didn't last long (and we had to stay up until 1:30am to see them so we're exhausted today).

side that sounds painful. I hope they hurry up and sort your MRI out Thanks

Morning!

Hellish night with the kids in the hotel room. DS just gets more naughty and defiant as he gets older. He drives me insane! I'm knackered (as are the kids, so they'll be fun today!).

It's so much cooler today. Thank god. We'll go to the park in a bit and then head back to get the train after lunch.

EmrysAtticus · 26/08/2019 10:21

Sympathy fluffy! DS was awake from 2:20-4:20 for no reason. We are all tired and grumpy this morning :(

Mrsmadevans · 26/08/2019 17:36

Aw Fluffy he was really tired l expect bless him. This heat takes it out of us all Smile
Been to Mum's, defrosted her freezer box , then the powder and fabric conditioner dispenser on the washing machine was clogged with gunk so l had to clean that out humph , it is all sent to try us Hmm. Talk about the straw that broke the camels back.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/08/2019 19:28

Yes, he was, Mrs! And the note tired he got, the worse he was. 🙄

But, he's already been asleep for 10 minutes, so here's for a bit of a catch up tonight.

Morning!

I'm later today as I'm at the Ortho at 9, so didn't have to get up so early. I was woken by my bladder though, typically!

The kids slept well, thankfully. Hopefully they'll be in a better frame of mind for DH today. Grin

It's nice and sunny but apparently not going to be boiling hot today. Sounds ideal!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2019 09:09

Whoop! Discharged from ortho. Yay!!!

Brilliant news Fluffy.

We had our anniversary party over the weekend and it was glorious. SIL has let DNephew stay for a few days so he is DS's partner in crime. We are off out after lunch for a bike ride. Well, they are riding bikes, I'm sitting in the shade with a cold drink.

I can't believe that this time next week it will be the last day of the school holidays. We got shoes on Saturday and he just needs to try everything on. Last year's blazer will definitely fit as will his shirts and sweaters. He's taller than me now so if anything is iffy it will be his trousers and I can get those from M&S, Tesco or Asda. If he doesn't need new trousers then the only thing I have to sew name tags into are his rugby socks.

Does your DS start school next month Fluffy?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2019 13:58

Sounds like you had a lovely time, Woolly! And great for your DS that he has company for a bit too.

DS goes into Y1 this year; he started last September, as a just-4 year old. And DD will be top infants this year. Where does time go?!

OP posts:
EmrysAtticus · 27/08/2019 14:50

Have you seen this year's John Lewis baubles? I love the garden themed ones.

EmrysAtticus · 27/08/2019 15:02

Added all the ones I like to a basket and it's £64. Oops.

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/08/2019 16:53

Taking one for the team there Emrys. £64 Shock

Time does indeed fly Fluffy. Top infants and Yr1 - is it an automatic transfer to juniors?

NoWordForFluffy · 27/08/2019 17:11

I love those decorations, Emrys. And work almost-next to the massive JL in L1. I'll be broke when the Christmas shop opens!

And yes, Woolly. I think it's automatic. They do transition activities and are on the same site. I'm sure they'll tell me if I have to do anything!

Mrsmadevans · 27/08/2019 22:53

Jl next door to you Fluffy omg l don't think I could resist it. I would love that 😍
Em JL have a lot to answer for 😁 when Dd2 worked for Waitrose we had 25%off and we are missing it like crazy 😅
Woolly congratulations on your wedding anniversary so Happy for you both 👰💒💍😁

Morning!

It's about a 5 minute walk at the moment, but when we move buildings I'll be able to see the back of it from the entrance! I'm not sure I'll cope! 😂

It's really quite dark at this time of day now. Autumn's coming!

Did you watch GBBO, Mrs? What did you think?
