We're currently sorting / clearing and I've been ruthless with gig tickets etc I'd kept. I never look at the bloody things, so I'm recycling them all!

At a garden centre and just managed to get stuff for DS' stocking. Binoculars, a old fashioned wooden toy and a Slinky :)

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2019 11:38

Our two love their binoculars. And their slinkies, but they're the over-sized ones and a bit too big for the stairs at home.

Mrs Thank you, I’m biased but I think he’s quite cute tooSmile

Fluffy you’re Robin is beautiful, do a lot of you do cross stitching on this group?. My DH couldn’t sew for the life of him, I’ve been trying to teach him how to do that sort of thing for years but I’ve decided it’s easier just to do it myself.

Princess god you’re organised!

Oh Crazy I bet you’re having an awesome time.

The weather was crazy when I was walking home from work last night, I had to get DH to pick me up and I never do that. It’s windy here all day today so DH will drop me to and from work again today.

EmrysAtticus · 10/08/2019 17:20

DS' stocking fillers so far. Just need to add a book and some edible stuff :) Cat won't be going in the stocking Grin

DS would love a cat in his stocking Emrys - I'm struggling for ideas for him. No doubt I'll get a bit of inspiration over the next couple of months but it's definitely easier to buy bits and pieces for my DDs. So far I've got Star Wars pencils and posh pants. I'll be getting socks, a game controller bath bomb and some chocolate. Then... tumbleweed 🤷🏻‍♀️

He'll be 13 not long after Christmas and is into football (playing and watching), cycling and gaming. I don't want to buy stuff for the sake of it - I'd prefer it to be useful and not be plastic/wrapped in lots of packaging. He's got cycling gloves and his bike has lights.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/08/2019 21:24

Woolly your DS could get a little Vampire Cat in his stocking Xmas Grin

Tarot will be appearing on the windowsill on Hallowe'en Night (her brother will most likely be under the sofa)

I'd have a cat like a shot 70 but DD2 is allergic to fur and I really don't like those furless (Sphinx?) cats. Your two are beautiful.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2019 21:46

Poetry, there's a few of us on here who do crafty things.

Woolly knits and crochets.
Biddy knits.
Crazy does crochet and I think was going to try cross stitch.
I do cross stitch.
Emrys does cross stitch.

I'm not sure who else does what; my memory stops at that point! Xmas Grin

DH can't remember when he learned to sew! I'm just glad I've not had to sew the badges on.

We've done the same again this evening, watching Die Hard 2, as I feel festive with this autumnal weather!

Woolly, I think teens and boys are hard to buy for generally. I'm sure something will come to mind.

I've made the most of the rubbish weather: the under stairs is tidy and DH has packed his tools away; I've cleaned and sorted my dried goods kitchen cupboards and I've deep cleaned upstairs. I did some of downstairs, but it can wait until the kids are back in school now. It's pointless when they're here all the time!

I ♥️ your cat, 70!

I’ve been trying to get our presents sorted. I’ve got DH a guitar and then will get him some aftershave and some nibbles. DF needs a new wallet so I will get him a decent one, I’ll get DM a new coffee machine. I’ll get DB, DBILs and DSIL a hamper as that’s easier. Then it’s just Dsis’, Nieces and nephews, DS and our mates.

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 10/08/2019 22:33

Emrys loving those binoculars, DH would love a cat in his stocking too he’s been after one for years but we got a dog instead.

Fluffy a lot of talented people on here. Your evening sounds lovely.

Currently waiting for DH to pick me up, the wind is howling here.

I've had real issues on here today with a stupid pop up. I couldn't post for a few hours.

My robin is coming on. I hope my mum appreciates it!

I had that pop up too Fluffy, kept saying I was a winner of something.

PrincessConsuela12 · 11/08/2019 01:00

@IAintWroteNoPoetry
I really enjoy Christmas & want to make sure things are ready before December so I can wrap in Dec with Christmas films & mulled wine 😄 I managed to get my DH Euro tickets and they needed to be paid for this month otherwise I wouldn't have started until the beginning of October

Morning!

It's been rather wet overnight. Thankfully the wind has dropped now. It's still raining a bit, but is meant to stop. I've stuff to do at the allotment, so hope it stops!

The stupid pop ups seem to be back on here which is rather rubbish.

EmrysAtticus · 11/08/2019 07:58

So so sick of the rain, I need to dry my washing!!!!

Have managed to order several Christmas presents this morning though so I am happy :)

NoWordForFluffy · 11/08/2019 08:03

We got ours mostly dry yesterday due to the wind and a break in the rain. I'm just hanging today's out, but taking a short break from rain! It's meant to clear though.

sideorderofchips · 11/08/2019 10:45

I crochet and knit. Got a little shop for selling stuff I make. Like kids crochet bags

Morning all

It’s still windy here but dry. Waiting for payday Friday to sort out last of the back to school/work stuff

Once I’ve done that’s its on the straight for Christmas!

BiddyPop · 11/08/2019 11:13

I am working in x stitch at the moment - this is going to be some butterflies on a bookmark, I hope. I made a couple of others for teachers in the family which are a pile of books and an apple on top - I just need to do the stiffening and seeing into a bookmark finishing off bits.

BiddyPop · 11/08/2019 11:18

My stash of craft supplies is legend in the family - I’m sending a large bag to the local primary and I’ve given loads to Cubs, to DM, and others. And I still have tubs full of wool, fabric, ribbons, and a shelf full of card making things, along with tonnes of patterns/recipes, and plans to use them - just no time to act on my plans these days.

Spare room is progressing enough that I can see both beds again - but not yet use them as beds. A few more spaces have been tackled too. But we needed to spend a day getting school uniform, shoes and hockey gear, DD needed some dedicated time on Friday (not doing cleaning - we baked), and we all went to a rugby match yesterday.

NerosFiddle · 11/08/2019 13:28

Afternoon all.

Anyone having trouble with the app? It wasn't working for me yesterday.

I'm not crafty but I enjoy baking, although I'm more of a home cook than a baker.

EmrysAtticus · 11/08/2019 13:29

Have some apple and blackberries bubbling away to go in the freezer so we can have lovely puddings in the autumn and winter :) Am also prepping strawberry jam from a load of cut price strawberries I have.

NerosFiddle · 11/08/2019 13:42

I've also decided that I'm going to have a Santa breakfast instead of a traditional party for dd this year. I'll hire a Santa to come and everyone can come and male their own breakfast with all the extras.

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 11/08/2019 14:02

Princess I’m stumped for presents now, I really struggle to buy for kids as they change what they like so quickly.

It’s sunny and windy here so we’re washing our bedding todayz
