I stopped reading the parking thread, Neros. I'd have gone full fish wife and shouted at them to FOTTFSOF at full volume!

We need a pre-ponce thread. Though it's not long til 25 Sept now, I suppose.

Fluffy I would have been the same. I'm thrane too and there would have been no way I would have let him off the driveway tonight.

It's just over a month, so I'll not start a pre ponce thread. I'll make do with last years.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/08/2019 22:12

I love the Poncetastic thread. I'm hopefully going to make my own wreath this year, I've got flavoured alcohols steeping and I'm sure there will be baking and pudding making happening.

@NerosFiddle and @BiddyPop I am a big fan of Dublin - I've had a wonderful stay. Today has been gorgeous and sunny and I haven't laughed so much in ages. It's been fantastic! I have just had an amazing evening watching the sunset, strolling through the city holding hands with DH. (Just under 17,000 steps so I hope I worked off the pudding at dinner) I definitely want to come back.

BiddyPop · 08/08/2019 05:39

Woolly, you are in Dublin?! Glad you're enjoying it

Fluffy, maybe, subconsciously....

MrsMad, yes the others have it right, hot press is an airing cupboard with the immersion. Ours has stacks of towels and sheets up high that need an occasional recovery from chaos

Morning!

It's not monsoon season today, thank god! I shouldn't be getting wet this morning.

My wet trainers rubbed some skin off my right little toe, so DH is currently applying a sticking plaster to it!

I'd love an airing cupboard, Biddy. We have a combi boiler though, so haven't got one. We have a cupboard which was probably the airing cupboard once but it's full of crap it's not set up as one now with shelves etc. I know people put little radiators in them if they no longer have the immersion heater.

Woolly, it sounds like you've had a lovely time. 💚

Woolly I'm glad you're having a good time. We were supposed to go down to the zoo today but everyone slept until near 7 so it was too late.

My hot press is full of towels and bedding and some Christmas decorations.

I don't know what we'll do today instead of going to the zoo. I'm currently making hm sausage and egg McMuffin, so we'll decide after.

sideorderofchips · 08/08/2019 09:12

Morning all

Actually raining here today so no riding.

Having to sit at the dentist with a very reluctant 8 year old

On the plus side I’ve lost another 5lb this week on my diet

NerosFiddle · 08/08/2019 09:17

5lb?! Wow chips. Well done!

sideorderofchips · 08/08/2019 10:12

I’ve gone from 18st 12 to 18st 2 in three weeks

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 10:22

I hope your MRI goes well today MrsFlowers

Neros do you make your McMuffins with the egg round, or just a normal fried egg? I always wonder how they get it round.

Wooly ooh how lucky!. I’ve always wanted to go to Dublin, I’ve been to places around it but never actually Dublin. We were meant to go for our honeymoon but then never did it, we went somewhere else instead. Side eye at DH

Fluffy your poor toe! I always say the smallest of injuries hurt the most. Especially when your toes rubbing.

Chips wow that’s amazing! Well done!

We have a scan today, we’ve been having to have regular scans as we didn’t find out about the pregnancy until much later on than usual. So they just want to keep an eye on baby and make sure everything is well. But we’re considering finding out the sex, we thought we wanted a surprise but now we’re starting to buy stuff we’d quite like to know. They will also do a quick 4D scan so I’ll try and take some pictures of the screen!.

ChampagneBuffet · 08/08/2019 10:33

Welcome @Poetry. I hope your scan goes well today, if you don't mind me asking how far along were you when you found out. I always find them stories so interesting?

Good luck today @Mrsmadevans

Wow! Well done Chips!

Dsis is well, she had to have some pain killers and they said her foot was cold as she hasn't been moving it. She had her dressing changed and it's much more healed.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 13:59

How was the scan, Poetry? Is this your first?

We didn't find out with either of ours; there's loads of brightly-coloured unisex stuff around, so we weren't too concerned (and the good thing about unisex is that the next baby can wear it, even if they're the opposite sex!).

It's a gorgeous day today. So different from yesterday!

Well done on the weight loss, Side. Great going!

Hope your mri went well Mrs.

The weather is nice here today so we went a big long walk. We ended up at a small restaurant and had a bottle of wine and a nice lunch. It was a lovely unexpected day.

Mrsmadevans · 08/08/2019 18:12

Ahhh thank you all for the good luck wishes for my MRI . I was alright . The radiographer was smashing very kind and calm. I had a 'do nut' ring scanner which meant my head was nearly out the end thank God Grin 3 weeks for result Hmm but done it now Smile

Biddy l can envisage the hot press and l want one too and a lovely big Georgian house to go with it , in the country with room for a Pony Grin

Chocolateunicorn · 08/08/2019 20:54

I have officially started! Just bought a bear and three outfits in the build-a-bear flash sale. Now to find a hiding place.

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 21:42

hiya champagne, I was 28 weeks.

Fluffy everything went great, baby is doing fine. We found out we’re having a boy!. I will attach a picture of the scan, he looks like his dadGrin. This is our first, it might be our only, I don’t much like being pregnant.

Mrs I’m glad you’re MRI went well, I bet you’re glad it’s all over and done with now though.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 21:54

I'm not keen on pregnancy. But the end justifies the means, as it were, so I suffered it twice!

All babies look like their dads to start with. It's so they know it's their baby! It's funny, but true.

28 weeks is so late! What a lovely short pregnancy!

OP posts:
IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 22:03

My DParents had 5, so it must be worth itGrin. That’s crazy about them looking like their dads, I hope he starts looking like me though. It’s been lovely to have such a short pregnant, I don’t know if I’d cope with a longer one.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 22:07

DD is a mini me now (so much so that DS thinks photos of me at the age she is now are her!) and DS is a mix of both of us. They both looked far more like DH as babies (the lack of hair helped! 😱😁).

I couldn't have done 5. I was too old when I started and I couldn't do that many pregnancies (especially as I need c sections).

OP posts:
IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 22:36

I look nothing like either of my parents, but was the spit of my dad until I started school and then I just started to look like my aunt.

My mum had DB, then 7 years later me, 5 years later my Dsis and then in the next 4 years had 2 more. It was weird having brothers and sisters at such different ages to me.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/08/2019 22:42

We have 13 months between ours (Neros does too!). Popped them out: done!

OP posts:
IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 22:58

You definitely had the right idea, god knows what my parents were thinking. By the time my DB was grown up they had a toddler again

Morning! We're back to monsoon season here. ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️ I might wear waterproof trousers for my commute! It's hideous! And set to be rubbish all weekend too.

Ooh. Lightning and thunder now too. Biblical. ⛈ ⛈

We have no weekend plans (thanks to the aforementioned rain!). Anybody else?

OP posts:
EmrysAtticus · 09/08/2019 06:15

Wow the thunder last night was crazy!

Congrats poetry. After the first trimester I loved pregnancy but still only did it once Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 09/08/2019 06:22

I'm not sure we had any overnight, Emrys. Nobody woke, anyway.
