Morning all.

Mrs I've gone back to nappies. He was doing so well, but yesterday I needed to go out for a few hours to a place with no toilets do put him in a pull up. Worst thing I could have done as he just reverted back. Off to buy a mini toilet now and try him again next week.

Mrsmadevans · 01/08/2019 15:24

'Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans' ahhhh

Being able to hold wee is an important part of training, Neros. It's a marathon, not a sprint, with these things. And - honestly - if they're totally ready they'll do it just like that, without too much angst / rushing to the loo / potties in every room etc!

Great bargain, Mrs. Well done you!

I've been up a fell today and I'm a bit tired now. It's exhausting doing these things with small children who keep veering towards sheer drops all the time. Hmm

Cracking view from the top though!

Thank you Fluffy , what a view! You have been through the mill trying to keep the Dc and Dh Smile safe l bet . It looks really beautiful. I think l would love to go there Smile it's on my bucket list .

NerosFiddle · 01/08/2019 16:19

I was tempted to buy the lamp too but just couldn't justify it. Still might though 😂.

I'll try DS again in a few weeks time. He goes to creche tomorrow, so they are going to give us some tips.

I've decided that I'm going to have a wee party in the house for dd birthday. It's 18th Dec so I'm going to try and get a visit from Santa. Just need to work out a menu for adults and toddlers and babies.

Bog standard party food, Neros. We all love a bit of party food!

Thank you Mrs, I’m biased but I think he’s greatGrin. I love that song too, it makes me cry. Great job with the bargain hunting!

Fluffy that looks gorgeous, I bet everyone will sleep tonightGrin

Neros you can’t go wrong with a cold pizza and cocktail sausages. George isn’t doing great on the potty training front, I don’t know if it’s better to buy a potty or just start straight on the toilet as that’s where he’ll end up eventually. Hopefully you get some tips tomorrow, if you don’t mind I’d like to hear them tooSmile

I’ve ordered this bed for George. www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/minnen-ext-bed-frame-with-slatted-bed-base-white-s29123958/ . I thought it we were going to potty train then we could get him a big boy bed. It’s extendable too so will last him for a while. I’m quite happy with otSmile

Morning! Another sunny start!

We're off round Buttermere today. It's about 5 miles but nice and flat, so not as tiring for the small people!

If you can just use the loo for potty training you'll save yourself bother later. Trust me on that one!

We were helped with potty training by preschool as both of ours went from being just-2. They do get it in the end though; it's not worth too much angst! But it's also not worth doing until they're well and truly ready!

Fluffy it sounds like you’re having a lovely time. How much longer are you there for?

See, that’s what I was thinking. If I train him on a potty then I’ll have to go through it all again with a toilet, but if we go straight for the toilet then it’s all done in one go. I won’t push him though, he can do it in his own time.

EmrysAtticus · 02/08/2019 12:53

We did a mix and we had no issues with using either :)

NoWordForFluffy · 02/08/2019 14:47

We really struggled, Emrys! With bloody both of them. If I did it again I'd go straight for the toilet and probably the Potette Plus just in case out of the house.

Dmiddlecat woke me up at 6 and DS trotted up at 6:10.

sideorderofchips · 03/08/2019 10:06

My kids seem to have learnt that for the most part it’s a bad idea to wake me ridiculously early. But roll on dark mornings and evenings!

NoWordForFluffy · 03/08/2019 10:14

I only have my bladder to blame this morning!
