Great idea Fluffy, though, if I did that with Fred we’d end up opening a load of rubbish on Christmas morning. He told me he wanted a bag of dog poo when we walked the dog the other weekGrin

NoWordForFluffy · 28/07/2019 22:18

I only buy the good ideas. Not the - literally - shit ones! That would be odd and daft in equal measure!

DS has come up with some interesting ideas for Christmas presents over the last few years. I don't know if it is easier now that he knows it's me and DH. I think it's harder to turn him down Xmas Sad He suggested a go-kart this year. We live in small town middle England 😂. No hills to speak of and the nearest track is 20 miles away.

FreddiesMammy · 28/07/2019 22:40

The best idea he’s come up with is a Frog, he wants to call it Freddie like him. He’s a right character😂

NoWordForFluffy · 28/07/2019 23:00

Woolly, he can whizz round W Park, no?! Xmas Grin

How old is Freddie? 🐸

OP posts:
FreddiesMammy · 28/07/2019 23:04

He’s two Fluffy, loving the 🐸 emoji

NoWordForFluffy · 28/07/2019 23:07

When DD was 2 she wanted paints and a hug. Cute, but she has better ideas now! 😂 (They're still art-based though.)

Oh Fluffy that’s adorable!!. Freddie loves being mucky in the garden so I’m going to get him some garden tools and then I’m stumped.

Morning!

It's a bit wet this morning, but is meant to dry up later on, thankfully.

We're off to do the Zog trail at Whinlatter Forest later on. We're going to spend the whole day there and have a BBQ for dinner before we head back here later on.

The forecast had better be accurate as I'm not keen on getting wet ALL day! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 29/07/2019 07:48

Fluffy am loving the sound of the Zog trail 😁
Have a fab day and the BBQ sounds delicious 😋😋😋
Have just heard sad news, a lovely teacher in my old school ,where l used to nurse. Has passed away very suddenly 😢 she's the same age as me . It must be a cardiac arrest/heart attack she was so slim, healthy and active, bless her she was lovely to everyone.
Anyway sorry to blight the day, on another note, l am too afraid to say too much , my leg /back/ sciatica? Whatever it is is getting better 😁😁😁
I have suddenly been able to cut the tablets drastically . 😊 Am afraid to say too much😊
Have been doing everything I was told to do. Exercises, keeping going through the pain, taking the pain meds religiously and it's almost as if suddenly l am so much better. It's not fully recovered by far but is do much better l am so thankful honestly it's like being reborn 😊
So that's my news am off to Mum's this morning have a great day everyone 😀

NerosFiddle · 29/07/2019 08:46

Mrs sorry to hear about your friend Thanks

Weather isn't good here but I'm potty training today so can't go out anyway.

I have my wee book out so that I can write all my Christmas lists today. DS is fixed on getting a blue bike and wants his sister to get a red bike.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 29/07/2019 08:56

Good morning, please can I join you? I've spotted this thread a few times and smiled as I think of Christmas early although not usually this early. However with brexit looming I'm thinking of starting my shopping earlier. I did buy Christmas crackers in the January sale so I have those and think I've still got lots of paper. I have 3 children and my mum to buy for so not many but I'm a single SAHM so funds are limited and I need to space present buying over a few months. I think I might start crafting in September. I made a garland for the bannister last year and fancy making a Christmas wreath this year.

FreddiesMammy · 29/07/2019 09:15

Morning everyone!

Fluffy god I’m so jealous! I hope you have a great day, and the sun comes out..and stays out for you you.

Mrs I’m so sorry to hear about your friend my lovely. I’ll be thinking of you todayFlowers great news on your leg! I’ll keep my fingers crossed it stays that way for ya

Neros ooh a bike!! I’ll add that to Fred’s list

Hiya Pants, I’m a single mum too and it’s so hard making ends meet for Christmas. I’ll attach my bauble wreath I made last year, it’s not the best but I quite like it!.

No sleep for me until 4 last night. I just can’t drop off lately, I’m not sure if it’s the heat but 2 is the earliest I have fell asleep for a good few weeks. Oh well🥴😴. My friend is coming over today and bringing her little girl who’s a year older than Fred..so they can play whilst we have some tea and leftover cake from yesterdayGrin. Hope everyone’s well

FreddiesMammy · 29/07/2019 21:44

Pixie he had a great day! He’s actually asleep before 10 too so we’ve tired him out good and properGrin. Good luck with the job hunting, have you got any good feelings about any places?.

Thank you Mrs. It was cheap and easy too...what more can you ask for!.

Do you have any aloe Vera gel Chips that’s meant to work a treat.

I’ve tried a new skincare product and it’s brought me out in dry patches. Nothing seems to be making them less dry

NoWordForFluffy · 29/07/2019 22:13

Oh Chips, poor you. Nothing worse than being burnt.

We had a lovely day and the weather really improved and it was fantastic by the time we had our BBQ.

DS went sleep quickly, thankfully. He was very tired!

Mrs, great news re your improvement. Long may it last. Sorry about your friend. Flowers

We went past some thistles today which were totally heaving with butterflies and bees. Just beautiful.

Morning!

I'm tired today. I've fallen into the late nights on holiday trap which is always daft as the kids don't get up later. Need an earlier night tonight! I've started my cross stitch for mum's present which is time consuming.

The forecast is variable today. Showers are forecast but I'm hoping we avoid them! We're going to have a late start before doing a 4.5 mile walk, then have chippy dinner before we head home later. Can't wait!

Hello all 👋 Sorry I disappeared, life has gotten very busy.

I've read through the thread but I've missed too much to do individual posts.

I'm enjoying the slightly cooler weather although could do without the grey sky and rain today 🙄
I am on a holiday countdown as we start what should be a ticking things off the bucket list / trip of a lifetime break in a few days. I'm so nervous, we've saved and planned so much I keep worrying about something going wrong!

Where did you find the blackberries Emrys? We usually have loads where we walk the dogs but they haven't amounted to much yet.

Mrsmadevans · 30/07/2019 18:02

MummyMcCracken · 30/07/2019 19:08

Hi can I join please? I think that I was on this thread briefly a few years back under a different username that I’ve totally forgotten, but I was pregnant and naming my son George if that helps to jog anyone’s memory. I dropped off once he was born and life got in the way but I’d like to come back if that’s okay.
