DH wanted a black cat (we were planning getting two cats) so I guess we were double lucky .

Sadly , black cats are the hardest to rehome . (Though at Hallowe'en I will have the best decorations , I'll get them to sit on the windowsill and peer out )

Yipee for the weekend. DH is off on a lads day out tomorrow with his darts team. I think my plan is to let the DC play outside most of the day whilst i potter round having a bit of a clean up. Post DD's nap i'll do baths and then we can curl up on the sofa with a picnic tea. Im thinking of buying Dumbo on BT player totally for the DC'S benefit of course.

I'm now thinking about what to put the lucky dip in. I think a wrapped cardboard box so it can come from Santa!

We've been to the allotment tonight before the holiday and got loads of veg! The bloody beans are so stealthy. You think you've picked them all then find loads more!

The pumpkins are getting quite big now (as big as this variety get, I think, and we have some dinky squashes now too. It's exciting!

He’s my big furry baby

When I ended up with him I was t having another cat. Then a friend phoned me to say that she knew someone that had a kitten that no one wanted and they were going to drown it if they didn’t find a home.

So me
Being me went to collect this tiny tiny kitten that fit in the palm of my hand. He had fleas and worms and was the runt of the litter. Never seen a vet

Got him home and he wasn’t weaned properly or litter trained and followed me everywhere crying. So i played mum

He doesn’t really know he is a cat and likes to be snuggled up to likes human child would be

It’s wet by me, on the app it says it will be like this for the foreseeable future. The air still hasn’t cleared...I’d be happy with this rain for the next month if it means that we can sleep, but the temps will still be high. It’s days like today that get me all excited for the autumn/winter. I’m off to find my Christmas planning book!

Morning from the soggy Lakes! It chucked it down for over 12 hours yesterday / overnight! Today's forecast is a touch ropey, so it's indoor activities in Keswick. Tomorrow we're off to Whinlatter forest so at least we'll get outside!

My gran went into a care home when gramp died, so it made it easier as she wasn't in their house any more.

Fluffy are you camping or caravanning or holiday homing?. I’ve booked a weekend away at a local campsite and then a week at a big chain caravan site. My fingers are crossed that the rain isn’t as heavy then, I wouldn’t mind rain in the caravan..we could go to the swimming pool, arcade, club etc. But the campsite is just a field, so we’d be trapped in a 4 man tent if it just rains. Oh it’ll be good fun😂.

I dug out my Christmas book!. It’s helped me to finish most of my lists and also it’s shown me how to have a green Christmas..I just love my book. I’ll attach a picture in case anyone would like to look it up.

We’ve had sausage sandwiches for breakfast this morning, they were delish!. It’s Sunday, which is our big clean day..so bedding washed, floors cleaned, everywhere scrubbed spotless. Then a trip to the supermarket to get our food for the week, just making our meal plan now.

It turned out sunny today, totally against forecast. But the kids are knackered today, so it wouldn't have been wise to do too much anyway, even if we'd known, so it was the Derwent pencil museum and Booths!

DD likes the flip pencils in the pub for the kids, so I said she could ask 🎅🏻 for some (before checking they weren't discontinued - they're double ended, two colours). Thank god for eBay is all I can say!

Mrs I’m glad your DM is doing well. Our weekend is going well thanks for asking. We’ve just had our big Sunday roast and it’s bath and bed time for Freddie and me. We’re actually cold for the first time in weeks. Loving it

I like to buy all year round, when the kids find stuff they like! Guaranteed happy kids on Christmas Day then.
