I believe QVC are doing Xmas stuff all day (Thursday) tomorrow?!? 🎄🎄🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 24/07/2019 20:35

Yes, Miss. Thor's hammer is a present from one on his godfathers. 😁

Happy birthday to your DS Fluffy - he looks adorable as Batman.

I've had a lovely day today in Leicester with DD2 who took (and passed) her maths skills test needed before she stars her teaching degree in September. I had a wander round the shops and bought a few things in the tail end of the sale and some new school socks for DS.

I was disappointed with the haberdashery department in John Lewis as I was looking for some red velvet fabric for my renovation of my tree topper and they didn't have any. There is a nice fabric shop in my home town so I'll look there. JL did have a few Christmas craft kits in though.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/07/2019 21:02

Was the market not on, Woolly? Leicester market used to be ace for material.

You can't beat a proper haberdashery. There used to be two along one of the one way streets in the town centre (near Wilko) I've no idea what's there now though.

And I'm rather biased but DS is exceptionally cute as Batman. With Thor's hammer! 😂

Oh, and yay re your DD2's exam!

TheWoollybacksWife · 24/07/2019 21:12

I didn't even think to look at the market 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to leave my car to have a service near the King Power and walked into town. 16k+ steps so I did the Highcross, Lush and Primark, then walked back to pick the car up. Knackered now 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/07/2019 21:26

On the upside , I'm watching a programme on ITV+1 about The Ritz and It's Christmassssss there Xmas Grin

Morning!

I'm dying a hot death. 😂 Our room was 26° last night, and that's after keeping the curtains closed all day to keep the sun off it. 🔥🔥🔥

Bring on the storms later is all I can say. Tomorrow is meant to be far cooler.

Have a good day everyone! ☀️ ☀️

Thank you Mrsmad extra shift finished now. Roll on the weekend.

MissMalone99 · 25/07/2019 20:42

I’m finished for the holidays🥳🥳🥳. I’m going to spend tonight planning some activities with DS, they have a cinema in the park soon so that’s definitely on the cards. Any ideas what to do for 6 weeks with a 2 year old?.

Fluffy wow, Thor and batman, he’s the worlds best superhero. I hope he had a lovely day.

Well done to your DD Wooly, I bet you’re very proud.

I don’t know how much longer I can physically cope with this heat. It’s killing me. I’ve sweat out half my body weight

NoWordForFluffy · 25/07/2019 21:18

Only one more day in work and I'm free for a week! Whoop!

I seem to be spending half of my life sorting out errors made by the Court though. Annoying really.

DS had a great day, flouncy. He's still enjoying his presents today, which is good news. Grin

I'm not surprised Hubert is out of sorts. I really am. My train was disgusting. Very sweaty indeed. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow.

We had 37c here (though I was inside in AirCon so avoided most of it) kept drinking water non-stop.

As a Rudolph Day prep I've ordered a sheet (fleecy grey) to go with DD Christmas Bedding (which is grey fleece with stags) last year I could only find a polycotton sheet so this one will be cosier .

Our cats spent the day larding in the garden with DD , stretched out on the patio slabs in shade . I do feel sorry for them, in fur .
I think they've come to the conclusion that it was a Pretty Good Move to take us on. They're settling in well, much calmer now (and bossy Xmas Grin )

Morning!

The air does feel a bit less oppressive this morning, even though the forecast rain / storms don't appear to have happened. It's still very warm though.

70, that's a bit toasty. Not very Rudolph Day-like weather!

I didn't do anything specific for RD, though did find a pack of 6 Toy Story Imaginext figures at Smyths, so ordered those. The kids love Imaginext and loved TS4 recently (which I also pre-ordered from Amazon).

I'm watching a couple of bits on eBay which I'll buy at lunch today as the points promotion starts at 12.

I'm actually almost done for the Christmas shopping! Xmas Grin

I'll get Amazon vouchers for my niece and nephew (Sept birthday and Christmas) and my sister for her birthday (hi, sis, if you're reading! 😂) and we're going away for DH's birthday, so that's his present really. I'll probably get him a case of Icelandic beer too.

As soon as I see the Moo Free advent calendars I'll get two of those, as well as free from stocking chocolate too. I need to hunt everything out as I know I said I'd finished the stocking gifts, but can't remember what I have. Fail! Xmas Blush

Hope you have a great hols Fluffy 😊 and Well done on your Christmas prep 😁
70 lovely to hear from you that your puss cats have settled in 🤗
Am off to Mum's , have a great day everyone 😀

SuperPixie247 · 26/07/2019 09:53

Awww I missed Rudolph Day!

Agree about the weather being cooler today. My house resembles a sauna and is 32 degrees upstairs Hmm

Enjoy your week off Cish

Ooh do you have any pictures of said cats 70? Cats will never not be bossy Grin

I really need to drag myself up for a run but so can't be bothered! Everything has felt like a massive chore these last few days, anyone agree?

NoWordForFluffy · 26/07/2019 13:57

I got my eBay bits ordered once the 4 x points offer kicked in. So that's Toy Story 1-3 Blu-ray box set and a load of Imaginext figures (including Thor) ordered.

I'm doing an Imaginext lucky dip, I think. The kids love lucky dip so it should go down well. 🎅🏻🎄

I hope your mum's ok, Mrs. How's your arm now?
