I’m sorry I didn’t reply to everyone properly this morning, mumsnet seems to glitch and I couldn’t seem to find the thread.
Princess I’m sorry that last year Christmas wasn’t the best for you, I hope this year can be doubly special to make up for it.
Flouncy there was a huge crack of thunder and it woke him up. He’s really interested in the lightning but not much of a fan of thunder. I always open one window at either side of the house so the lightning can pass through, it probably wouldn’t actually work but I’ve done it for as long as I can remember.
Christmas it was the same by us. I swear the house actually shook at one point, my DM called me as she thought there had been an earthquake. That present for your DH sounds awesome!. I wish I could think of something that creative.
Fluffy heavens knows how you slept through that! It was insane. Car alarms and street lights were going on and off around here.
Pixie this is my first Christmas as a single mum too, I’m trying to turn it into something special for me and DS but I do feel so guilty too. His dad was a knob (excuse my french) but he’s still his dad, and now he doesn’t even bother to see him anymore and it’s really got to DS. I’m just hoping he copes at Christmas.
Chips Jake loves bin men, he waits outside for them in the morning and we have loads of little toys. How weird that that’s a stage.
I finish work for the holidays tomorrow and DS will finish nursery on Friday. So I’m going to sort our garden out on Friday and give the house a big spring clean. DS is loving being in the water at the minute, he’s been playing with the hose in the garden so I think we will get a cheap pool from the shops and he can spend the days playing in that.
