Woolly, mum said the weather is now quite damp down your way. We have dry weather forecast tomorrow; hopefully you do too.

Enjoy the duty free!

It's a year today that I fell down the stairs and tore my shoulder tendon. Thank god for the NHS which has patched me up nicely!

I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy expensive spuds from eBay. Growing your own really isn't cheap!

Flouncy l am in SE Wales , Monmouthshire Smile
I know Fluffy, thank God the good old NHS got you mended Smile
Pity about the tatties being expensive nevermind though you know how they have been grown, organically too so it is all good Smile

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/07/2019 21:54

Fluffy I think tomorrow will be wet too then we have dry muggy days with temps of 30+ for a couple of days from Sunday.

Shame about the cost of your seed spuds but it seems that nothing worth while is cheap.

MrsMad I'm about halfway through the laundry. I've got pastels and whites to do but I've run out of laundry tabs until tomorrow morning. I'm my own worst enemy too as I got home yesterday evening and I stripped and remade the beds so I could collapse into a clean bed. I'm tempted to wait until the weather improves to finish off but that means I can't put the big case away until the last load goes in. I could transfer it all to our laundry baskets but that would mean everything overflows - it's all psychological really - out of sight, out of mind.

Mrsmadevans · 19/07/2019 22:00

Woolly l do stupid things like that and l don't know why . Well l do because l like a nice clean bed but still Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 19/07/2019 22:14

We always wash our duvet when we go away as it then has plenty of time to dry while we're away. It just needs a quick tumble to fluff it up on our return (it's down).

I'm tucked up in bed already. I'm knackered!

Emrys, Sew & Sew have closed down! Gutted.

Morning!

I woke up too early. Boo! I needed the loo, annoyingly. [

On the upside my offer on the attached cross stitch was accepted while I was asleep. Xmas Grin

Flouncy, you can cut large chitted potatoes in half to get more. As long as each bit has a chit you're good to go.

I ordered 2kg of Wilja spuds. Hopefully they'll arrive before we go away (mustn't order anything bulky after today!) so I can get them chitting in my absence.

Emrys, summer rain smells amazing. It's so evocative, isn't it?

I'm allotmenting today. Weeding, pulling the peas up and probably harvesting beans and broccoli. My cauliflowers aren't quite there yet.

will look for Craith thank you m'dear !

NoWordForFluffy · 20/07/2019 18:45

@flouncyfanny is it this kit? eBay has loads of other ones if it's not too.

Mrs, I ache after my allotment day. As we go away next Sat until the following Sat I needed to essentially do two weekends of work. I got there at 8.30 ish and came home at 4.00, with a brief pop across the road to Dobbies for a cup of tea and some parsnip seeds! So probably about 45 minutes' respite.

Mrs, your arm looks so sore. I'm glad it's improving!

Flouncy, Envy (not envy) re the cat sick!

We have a Dobbies in our home town which is about a 10 minute walk from the house and slap bang opposite the allotment (but still takes 10 minutes to walk due to the route you need to take!).

I was filthy from actually doing gardening and got some very bemused looks. I'm not sure that many of the people who go there often get properly down and dirty in their gardens! 😂😂
