New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

Woolly happy birthday to your dd

Went shopping this morning. Normally on a Saturday morning it's really quiet first thing, but today it was crazy busy. Almost like a Saturday in December.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/04/2019 16:59

Happy birthday to your DD, Woolly! I hope you've had a lovely day.

We're back home now. The kids are eating and we're making chicken balti for us! It smells amazing already and we've only made the paste. 😋

We have had a lovely day and thank you everyone for her birthday wishes. We've had a Mexican fiesta dinner and she's now got friends round for board games and cocktails. Given the rate they are getting through my snacks and my drinks cabinet I think I've got overnight guests too 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/04/2019 10:07

Wanders onto thread
Mmmmm everyone else is busy sleeping or recovering (or shifting birthday guests about to get the the kettle Xmas Grin )

Places this here 255

Wanders off again looking at Easter decorations ............

NoWordForFluffy · 14/04/2019 10:21

We had a slight lie in today and the hairdresser came at 9.30, so it's a bit busy.

I'm off to the allotment after DS' hair is cut too as I need to get my rhubarb crowns in the ground as well as my peas which are now too big for the tray. I need to sow more Brussels seeds when I get home as my first attempt failed, unusually.

So, busy all round really!

Good Morning everyone

@NoWordForFluffy I’ve always wanted to grow my own veg, our gardens big enough for us to do it but I’ve never the patience to do it. Maybe hearing you talk about it might give me the get up and go to get it started.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/04/2019 14:38

It's hit and miss growing your own, it has to be said. Even the people who've been doing it for years sometimes have stuff go wrong. But when it goes well, it's great, as it does taste so much better than shop bought stuff.

I've planted 60 pea plants, 2 rhubarb crowns and a gooseberry bush today, the latter donated by next door but two at the allotment.

I got DH over to collect compost I'd bought from the allotment association and dig me a hole for a goji berry bush which was also donated by another plot holder for me!

It was so bloody cold though; the wind is freezing. I'm glad I made a last minute decision to put another layer on. 😂

@NoWordForFluffy I’d love a goosebury bush, I’ve never tried one but I’ve always wanted to. I’m not sure why😂

I have my first scan tomorrow, hopefully it will make everything feel more real.

CishAndFips · 14/04/2019 19:44

Evening all lordofthefries how exciting. Its been a busy but rather nice weekend here. Im working tomorrow but then im off until next Wednesday im very much looking forward to not having to set the alarm for a week.

Ive just ordered some l'occitane baubles from qvc to add to my Christmas stash.

lordofthefries · 15/04/2019 16:13

Evening everyone, I hope you’re all doing okay.

@CishAndFips I hope you enjoy your days off. I love a good QVC Christmas shop, I’ll spend hours watching it comes Christmas time.

We saw our little one today. We’re exactly 7 weeks along and we heard the heartbeat. I will try to attract the scan picture❤️

lordofthefries · 15/04/2019 16:22

Ah, lovely pic, fries! It's amazing how much they change from jelly bean to teeny baby in a few weeks.

I've been back at work today. Thankfully from the comfort of my bedroom. I'm knackered now. I had 556 emails. I got through a week's worth. Tiring.

The wind has been so cold these last two days. I think it's meant to turn soon as the weekend looks lovely!

NerosFiddle · 15/04/2019 19:37

Aw lord that's a lovely pic. Glad all went well for you.

Fluffy getting through 500+ emails a day is good going.

Dd has yet another temperature today so we've been indoors again all day. Fingers crossed it clears up soon.

I'm just getting ready for GoT now. Can't wait!

lordofthefries · 15/04/2019 21:14

Thank you everyone☺️

@NoWordForFluffy You’re totally right, it’s crazy that at my next scan it’ll look like a right little human. How great that you’ve gotten through so much work, well done you. The weekend looks lovely by us, but the wind is nippy. I always end up wishing I brung my coat out with me.

@NerosFiddle I hope your DD feels better soon. We’re waiting for GOT as well, I can’t wait

I took DS to the cinema yesterday to see Shazam. We like superhero movies anyway but this one was set at Christmas so it was even better Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 16/04/2019 17:51

That sounds great, Woolly. What age rating is it? Sounds like our two would like that, given their love of superheroes and Christmas!

Work is still manic. I have about 100 or so emails left to get through now, I reckon. The problem is that they keep coming! 😱😱😱

I'm so tired. Early night tonight I think.

Might be a bit old for them Fluffy. Couple of "shits", statues come to life and one bites a head off and then Santa drops a few (bleeped) f-bombs 😂

Lovely scan pic lord

CishAndFips · 16/04/2019 20:15

Beautiful picture lord its been a lovely day here although a rather wet one. My l'occitane baubles arrived today they are so lovely and pretty. Ive also orded DD a vtech Bluetooth microphone that was half price on amazon.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/04/2019 20:37

Hmmmm. I'll save that for a while! 😂

It was wet here too. Good for my plants though; I've got green stuff everywhere!

Just checking back in. Life has become very busy, sorry.

Woolly I wish I had known that about the film - I took my nephew to the cinema on the weekend and he chose Captain Marvel. It was a good superhero film but there was nothing Christmassy about it.

I am home alone for just over a week as DH is away helping his family with an emergency (he's 4 hours away). I'm fine without him but I've had 2 spiders at home so far as they're generally his job to sort out. Bloody typical as we hadn't seen one for ages before he left 🙄

lordofthefries · 17/04/2019 12:17

@TheWoollybacksWife I wanted to go and see that Shazam, when I first saw it advertised on the side of a bus I thought it was for some sort of energy provider. I didn’t know it was set at Christmas, I might just be off to buy me some tickets as a treat😉

It’s overcast here, but is meant to be sunny and 22 degrees over the weekend. That means I can sort out the garden, as it’s become a right mess since it’s been cold.

@CrazyBaubles My DH thinks that we should live with the spiders in our house and let them do their thing. I have to sneakily catch them when he isn’t looking, just because he isn’t scared doesn’t mean I want them in my house!.

I’ve already got a few clients done this morning, but I can’t wait to get home now. The day seems to be going on forever and I just want to snuggle up in my Jim jams.

CrazyBaubles · 17/04/2019 12:36

Lord can I ask what you do as a job? Sorry if you've posted before, me heads a bit scattered at the mo.

I'm on my lunch. I'm getting out of the office for a walk because I need the fresh air but I'm freezing (I think I'm coming down with something)

lordofthefries · 17/04/2019 12:44

@CrazyBaubles I’m a mobile hairdresser. I haven’t said before, so don’t worry. I hope you’re doing okay, having said you’re busy lately. There’s a lot of bugs going around at the minute where I am, the GP is packed.

lauryloo · 17/04/2019 22:51

Can I join? I was a bit of a lurker last year
