New month coincides with the need for a new thread!

The last one kept us going for over 2 months, so let's see how we do this time!

DD2 is allergic to fur so we can't have an indoor pet. I'm not a dog person but plan to spend my elderly years as the mad cat lady 😂

Evening all.

We had a birthday party this afternoon then had a takeaway for dinner. So all in all a good day.
Might go to the local farm tomorrow to see some lambing. Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was today.

The weather was lovey yesterday wasn't it? Blue skies but cold here so we took the dogs for a walk along the canal and stopped at a pub for lunch.

Plan for today is a lazy morning, then out for a meal for a friends birthday before coming home, another walk and housework.

I'm hoping someone here can help - I was clearing out a few things yesterday and found these. Any idea what I can turn them into? It seems a waste to throw them away..

Crazy, we have name banners for the kids made with stars, hearts etc with letters for their name sewn on. They aren't crocheted, but there's no reason why they couldn't be. They hang on their bedroom doors, to give you an idea of length.

You'd obviously need a few more, but that's my only idea! 😂

They're sewn onto ribbon then have those little craft pegs on as well, plus some beads as well.

I think we are going to Sizergh Castle today. It's been a slow morning so far though, which is sometimes needed!

Have you looked on Pinterest and Attic24 at the different crocheted wreaths? Use a polystyrene wreath base, cover with a crocheted tube and then add shapes, flowers, baubles, ribbons etc. Your items would look lovely with some lemon, sage green and blush pink mixed in for a springtime wreath or add red, more white and dark green for a Christmas wreath (embroider a red Christmas design on your heart).

Evening all. Its been a rather busy but lovely weekend here. School holidays have started, ive taken a few days leave but DH will be working throughout (other than the weekends and school holidays). I orded DDs main christmas present this weekend, a dolls house with furniture that was on a wowcher deal.

Sounds brilliant Cish. I had a doll's house as a birthday present when I was 6ish. I have very fond memories of painting and decorating it with my lovely dad.

Had tomato and mozzarella pasta bake and garlic bread for supper, DS2 was in bed by 7.05, DD will go at 8.05. 😋😴

Afternoon! We've been fell walking today. It's gorgeous weather for it. Knackered now; I'm amazed the kids did it as it almost killed me with my one working arm! 😂

Today is our last full day in the Lakes. We're going to look for walking boots for the kids and have lunch out, I think. I need to investigate non-extortionate lunch options!

The cat we're looking after got us up at 6.30. Good job he's cute as I'm not really impressed! 😂🐈

Hello everyone , am just sitting here at 8am waiting for my Dad's funeral at 3 . I am so lost. I came here to get some comfort and normality. Morning!

It's our last day in the Lakes today so we're doing another short fell walk so the kids can wear their new walking boots.

We'll go home after dinner tonight so we can feed the cat we're looking after before we go.
