Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Amazon have 2 for £7 on some children's books - just bought The Creakers and The Christmasosauras(?) for DS1, usually around a fiver each

Ewock · 11/12/2018 15:05

Nearly done but need some ideas for ds 5.5years old. He has asked father Christmas for Ninjago lego thats sorted but need some other bits for him. Would really appreciate some ideas. Thanks

ToastyFingers · 11/12/2018 15:31

Does anyone know if hotel chocolat still do a heavily discounted first tasting club box?
I'd love to get some posh chocs to bulk up my mums gifts.

YahBasic · 11/12/2018 15:41

I’m pretty sure they’ve closed the Jack Wills outlet and migrated it all across to the main site.

Shame really, I got some real bargains from there over the years.

rosablue · 11/12/2018 15:56

@Dolceandgabbana14. I’ve put miatui.com on here several times for teacher presents - fab strong reusable shopper/tote bags with a good zip section in the middle. Several people bought them and said they were pleased with them and I've got several I use personally and have given lots as gifts.

Search for sue shopper on the mia Tui site - in the accessories section. ST20 was taking 20% off accessories - the bags themselves cost £4-5 and come within a few days.
(And nope, company is nothing to do with me, I’m just a happy customer!)

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 11/12/2018 15:56

Hmm my ds3 aged 5 has a girlfriend at school Grin He has just announced he wants to get her something for Christmas. Any ideas for a little something for a 5 year old girl please haha.

woodwaj · 11/12/2018 16:12

Does anyone have a unidays code for newlook by any chance?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 11/12/2018 16:29

Gutted those ponies aren't in stock near me dd2 would love them!!

If you can't get any confetti pop LOL jammie I can look for you when I'm in town Thursday.

No bargains to share but just a reminder for those on o2 to keep checking priority moments. So far this month I've got a couple of bags of chocolate buttons, box of fancy Christmas cards, headphone splitter and match attack cards all free from whsmith. :)

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 11/12/2018 16:56

@woodwaj pm’d you a code

Valasca · 11/12/2018 17:07

Eight and Bob Men’s cologne (the original that comes in a “book”) is selling for £50 on Tk Maxx

It sells for £120 just about everywhere else like Selfridges, Harvey Nics, Fenwick. It’s out of stock at £140 at John Lewis

Highly recommend- DH has a couple of their scents now and loves them. Plus doesn’t smell like everybody else.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 11/12/2018 17:20

Thanks do much for this thread, I'm feeling a bit less panicked than I was last week. Now just have to get both kids something on their santa list, a lol pet surprise and a 'transforming racing car' for ds, 3.
Then just got to get a few nights out planned and booked for DH present. I think I'm nearly done! (ignores piles of stuff to dort out and wrap... )

CheekyFucker · 11/12/2018 17:22

@rosablue do you have links with that company by any chance as you have linked to them multiple times. I am sure they are great but....

sepsisandAKI · 11/12/2018 17:36

Thanks @eastmids thanks managed to get the £3.50 set but also bagged the ghostbusters playmobil car on amazon!

Jammiebammie · 11/12/2018 17:54

Thank you nocuts that’s very kind of you to check for me, if you do find any I can send you money & postage through PayPal if that’s ok?

woodwaj does the new look UNiDAYS code work on top of their 25% discount? I was going to order a few things tonight but didn’t even think of that.

There’s a few build a bears reduced to £7 online today.

woodwaj · 11/12/2018 17:56

Jammiebammie I can't find a 25% off code what is it?! I'm trying to order a Christmas jumper so maybe it's excluded??

Jammiebammie · 11/12/2018 17:57

Lego hogwarts express £54.49 on amazon now

Jammiebammie · 11/12/2018 17:58

woodwaj it’s FAMILY25 for newlook

It was meant to end last night but apparently they had technical issues so they’ve extended it until midnight tonight

Jammiebammie · 11/12/2018 18:00

...And you’ve just reminded me it’s christmas jumper day on Friday, oh fresh buggery hell Blush

BluthsFrozenBananas · 11/12/2018 18:01

The Snow White advent calendars are down to £3.50 in Superdrug. The bits inside are things like bath bombs, lip balm and hand cream, they’d make good stocking fillers for tweens and young teens.

BabyClam · 11/12/2018 18:05

Ideas for a 5.5 year old boy...
Mine has asked for Ninjago Lego too and will also be getting a Stretch Armstrong, a light sabre (the bargain £5 Argos one from upthread), Nintendo DS games, mixed bag of Lego, Adventure Time T shirt, tattoo sleeves, Galt science lab, Magic Tracks cars, Lego ideas book, treasure chest, dinosaur fossil kit.

starryeyedsnowgirl · 11/12/2018 18:19

@LutherRalph1 I got DH an aeropress last year and he really likes it. It's not really a faff when you have some it a couple of times, is easy to clean and the coffee is nice. A couple of people who have tried ours have since bought one.

Questionsquestionsquestions · 11/12/2018 18:22

Anyone need a £10 Boden code? It's only valid over £50 - and though it says it expired on Sunday, it still seems to work (I only went as far as checkut to see - haven't actually used it)
Pm me if you want it.

livingthegoodlife · 11/12/2018 18:23

@butterflymum thank you for the tip - I'll look at Tesco for the Ordnance survey puzzle book. I bought a nice let creuset lasagne style dish today so that's a start.

My parents are impossible to buy for.

Home bargains had nice Lego books in today. Activity book £0.99, sticker books £0.99 and a Lego book with minifigure included £1.99. huge big heavy book, really nice gift.

Lots of cheap girly gift bits too.

lookingforbaubles · 11/12/2018 18:27

i am done - many thanks to all for the great prices and ideas...who knew i needed a dog fitbit type whatsit but my dd will love it!

im sure it was @Reastie who posted a pic of the wineapples many years ago but they have become a tradition in this house - we have developed the theme for those are allergic to nuts so they have haribo, or those who dont drink wine, they get their favorite frizzy pop!

my dd has made 12 this year, it has kept her busy and she is delighted to be giving her very own hand made presents

thank you Reastie for the thread and wineapples!
