Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

andadietcoke just in case you aren’t aware, the instructions and screws for building the Lol house are actually inside the moving van, we’ve decided not to build ours until the day as I think dd would love to open it and help build herself as part of the unboxing, it looks pretty simple to build though just need a screwdriver.

Dh says the Lol dolls I bought from amazon have been opened and sellotaped back up again, totally gutted as it’s the only place I could find the confetti pop dds obsessed with, they have refunded me but I can’t gift them to her so if anyone sees any please give me a shout. Still not home yet, so think I have to do the rest of my shopping online.

Does anyone have any ideas for 13yo and 10yo boys? Just a token at about a fiver each, but I’m stuck.

I have an aeropress. It is a faff the first few times you learn to use it. After that, it is much easier than a cafetière - especially easier to clean as the coffee forms a hard "puck" at the end after pressing that just taps off. It makes excellent coffee. We use a bean to cup machine for everyday use but use the aeropress when we travel as we can pack it in the suitcase so easily.

As with all coffee makers, you do need to put good coffee into it to get good coffee out of it! I use Pact (subscription service) which I love. My husband uses Monmouth which he buys at their branch in the city (London). If you want to add a bag of coffee to his present, you can use my referral code for Pact here which gives you £5 off a bag (and I get £5 off too).

I am considering getting my DD an xmas blanket or duvet cover, particularly one featuring Will Ferrell as buddy the elf - but I can only see single covers, and she has a double bed.

Help MNetters?

Wiifitmama · 11/12/2018 10:24

Sorry, realised I should have tagged @Lutherralph1 in my previous answer!

friskybivalves · 11/12/2018 10:43

If you have an Amex card there's 20% off jack wills. It expires today. You have to load the offer on to your card from the Amex app or website.

MiseryLoves · 11/12/2018 10:49

Robert dyas have a 3 for 2 offer on novelty gifts.

They have the Harry Potter mini bell lights down from £9.99 to £6.99 which if used with the 3 for 2 makes them just over £4 each. Bargain!

Theonlyoneiknow · 11/12/2018 10:58

Thanks for the Asda Technic Lego tip! Happy to get those!

Does anyone have any stocking filler ideas for my 9 year old DS? I am stumped! Thanks All

Iggi999 · 11/12/2018 11:03

Help - have a Fitbit versa arriving today from amazon, ordered it at 159 two days ago and today it is 139. What’s the best way to go about getting it at the new price - do I need to return and buy new? Thanks!

Iggi999 · 11/12/2018 11:17

Managed to resolve through live chat. Seems crazy that they prefer to cancel and send a new one rather than reduce price, but there you go!

g1c2d3 · 11/12/2018 11:39

friskybivalves thank you. Unfortunately I haven’t got an Amex card.

imsorryiasked · 11/12/2018 12:02

@g1c2d3 doesn't help very much but spend £50 at Jack Wills and get a
£10 Amazon voucher

g1c2d3 · 11/12/2018 12:05

Thank you imsorryiasked

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 11/12/2018 12:41

Just been into Smiggle and they are selling rubber collections sets for £3 - I think reduced from £8. There was a unicorn one and a fast food/diner one. Also 25% off full priced stuff.

Dolceandgabbana14 · 11/12/2018 12:41

Thought I was almost finished then realised the teacher and teaching assistant gifts need to be done by next week 😳 I bought some lovely floral time from Whistlefish but I think they look quite summery so I'll probably she them for end of year gifts when I've got more time to think about baking something to fill them with. Are there any bargains on chocolates at the moment? Should've stocked up on the Green and Black ones 🤦🏼‍♀️ Didn't Waitrose do half price on all chocolates last year? Any idea of that'll happen again in time?

PlaymobilPirate · 11/12/2018 13:07

Help - Dbro mentioned something about a coffee maker that goes on the stove. Does anyone know what he's on about please?

DeezMutts · 11/12/2018 13:10

Morrison’s have 3 for £20 on Disney Princess dolls (£12 each) and Shopkin Shoppies dolls (£14 each). Offer def works as my friend got it checked and bought some today. Plenty on the shelf.

WisestIsShe · 11/12/2018 13:21

@PlaymobilePirate, just put hob or stove top coffee maker into Google or Amazon and you get loads. DM swears by her's because it's making steam the coffee is better apparently Confused (I'm a tea drinker)

Ihopeyoudance · 11/12/2018 13:23

@PlaymobilePirate
One of these I imagine

Yes!

CookieSwirlC · 11/12/2018 13:44

I have sorted my presents! I new I’d overbought for dd1 and with everything out I’ve put away a few big and small bits for her birthday in March so she’s all done for that as well. So chuffed!

Just need a book for a 5 year old, my dad’s present and something else for my mum and some chocolates to go in my bargainous Magpie tins for teacher presents.

BuzzOff · 11/12/2018 14:23

@g1c2d3 jack wills outlet online is your best bet, I've had a quick look and there are sweaters at £26 , not sure if there are many hoodies at moment. Also if you sign up to their email list you'll get 5% off first order. You can also do free click and collect from the outlet page. Hope this helps!

Squ1ggle · 11/12/2018 14:27

Gah, only now that all the offers have finished have I found out I need to buy an echo dot. Anybody know ant deals going anywhere?

ShesABelter · 11/12/2018 14:29

Thanks for last night's suggestions for my mil and grandad. Have managed to get an iPad, hot wheels garage and Chrome book for the kids today and some other bits and pieces so feeling more organised.

g1c2d3 · 11/12/2018 14:35

BuzzOff, thank you so much for the suggestions. I will have a look on their outlet website.
