Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Exploding kittens - DS is 6 and loves it. He has been an Uno fiend for a couple of years so is used to that side of it. Playing with him and DD is very different to playing with DH and BIL but who are much more strategic about their moves but there is only so much strategy you can apply in the game so it doesn't make as much difference as you might think.

Thank you Apple . I got Lottie doll, pony , beagle and 4 outfits for my mum for my nieces for Christmas . Cost 52 but should have been £74 . She’ll be delighted and so will my nieces .

I succumbed to an Elemis handwash. Couldn't not for a fiver! It'll go in the kitchen as the kids use too much for it to go in the bathroom and they can't reach in the kitchen!

whenwillthewitchstrike - thank you so much for the advice on changing of the guard - I hadn’t even thought of that. We have taken the DC to London many times but never watched it at BP because of the crowds - would be good if we could see it this time in a little less crowded atmosphere.

We do have to do them both in one day as we are tagging it on the end of a trip down south to visit family and we are already cutting that shorter than the in laws would like! We then have a 10 hour drive back home the next day (the Sunday) and the DC are back at school Monday morning. We are planning to get to Windsor for opening at 10am and our tickets for HP aren’t until 4.30pm so I’m hoping we’ll have sufficient time to do both - inc getting to HP world in plenty of time so as not to be rushing there. It’s the penultimate day of the Sussexes wedding exhibition and that is the real reason for us going - I suspect it’ll be busy at Windsor, but not much we can do about that. We’re just always so limited with time because of fitting things in around our school and other commitments up here and families in 2 other parts of the UK!

You know it’s Christmas when Michael Bublé shows up!
He’s definitely on today’s playlist whilst wrapping presents.

Who was looking for nice soaps a while ago? William Morris pack of 4 soaps down to £7.80

purplepandas · 02/12/2018 08:25

Not sure if anyone is interested but 12 months of the National Geographic Kids magazine is £26 on Groupon. If you go through Quidco there's 20% cashback (mine tracked) and also 20% off the price with the code GROUPON. So pretty decent really. link here

BrightonBB · 02/12/2018 08:34

purplepandas · 02/12/2018 08:44

Am stuck on my sister (age 40) who loves Collectif type clothes, nice make up and does not have lots to spend on herself. Want to get her something really lovely. If anyone has bright ideas I would be grateful. Flowers

OldBrownShoe · 02/12/2018 08:51

andadietcoke · 02/12/2018 08:56

No Birchboxes here either. Also no devastation, but mild irritation that I've had dispatch emails and then a week later another one saying 'sorry, sorry, we'll dispatch by 3/12'. I ordered on 21/11 I think. I was going to keep the subscription but I cancelled it after the email last week.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 02/12/2018 09:02

Is the Elemis code still working? Wanted to place a 3rd order but it wouldn't work. Was using a different email address.

BenjaminBunnysMummy · 02/12/2018 09:05

If you use discount code "gift15" on groupon with the national geographic offer, you get another £3.89 off making it £22.06 for the 12 months.

TalkingOrmer · 02/12/2018 09:05

Thanks @purplepandas that’s perfect 😊

margaritasbythesea · 02/12/2018 09:07

Purplepandas what about the Turtle Doves fingerless gloves.

I bought someone who likes vintagey things these earrings which look good quality. They do different colours. The company does lots of lovely jewellery, usually nature inspired. They have some nice beaded bags too, although personally speaking I prefer something I can use a lot.

purplepandas · 02/12/2018 09:08

No prob Talking. I thought it looked good. I think there is a free gift too actually but we will see.

margaritasbythesea · 02/12/2018 09:11

Can anyone recomend a good quality but good value thermos suitable for food, please?

BenjaminBunnysMummy · 02/12/2018 09:12

Oops, should have read original post properly Blush code "groupon" make national geographic £20

purplepandas · 02/12/2018 09:24

Thanks for the suggestions margaritas and oldbrown. Checking these out. Much appreciated.
