dancemom what about a framed photo of the two of you. I have a 4 year old DS and I'm trying to think of something he'd like. Poundland might be your best option. They do things like magic dinosaur eggs which are always a hit with DS. You could probably get a Selection box and a book from the works or maybe stickers or a ball?

I've bitten the4 bullet and paid full price for the eyeshadow palette but got the discount on the brushes.

alexander the Jaclyn hill palette is reduced at pretty little thing here my dd got it last year and it’s quite good.

As for brushes, I bought dd1 the master set (with the 25% off thank Christ!) We’ve had a few Morphe brushes before and they’re all really good actually, I’ve bought my younger dd the little rose set as she’s only 12 and doesn’t really care about specific looks etc, whereas dd1 likes the numbered brushes and she can follow a look using ‘brush m441’ or the likes Depends how serious your dd is with make up, if she just likes to play around or just getting into it, the vegan brushes are a great starter, or if she’s more serious and the budget doesn’t stretch to a bigger set, the individual brushes can be great.

Dd sees make up as a tool rather than a dressing up for pleasure thing. She is expected to adhere to a certain asthetic. Day to day she goes for a more natural look but on stage its anything goes almost.

I didn;t buy the vegan brushes as they were more expensive. Are they deemed to be better or is it just the ethics thing?
