Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Fgs. Can't get a link but there are some from £15 on the Matalan site. Just go to throws and scroll past the expensive ones

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 20:13

shit. the birchbox comments are badl. No idea when mines coming now.

NoLeslie · 01/12/2018 20:14

Thanks for the Elemis code, their stuff always smells so nice!

truthtopower · 01/12/2018 20:17

Thanks NaturalBlonde I don't know AO well but will take a look

winterisstillcoming · 01/12/2018 20:23

@ducksandacorns would a personalised cheeseboard be appropriate?

CelticPromise · 01/12/2018 20:32

My postie always leaves parcels in the bin, but he does leave a card telling me which one!

Girlsnightin · 01/12/2018 20:38

@Prizepudding

Thank you, the code worked!

NewDayBlankPage · 01/12/2018 20:51

Oh goodness, those comments on the Birchbox Facebook page. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m peed off that the boxes aren’t here yet and getting a bit panicky that they won’t actually arrive but people on there are waaaay overreacting. Saying they’re devastated and demanding compensation and free boxes. Someone has come on to say they would like to offer their deepest sympathies to people going through this 😂 ffs it’s a cheap box of makeup!

trixymalixy · 01/12/2018 20:52

@BeauticianNotMagician81 I had a parcel last week go missing that Amazon had left on my front doorstep. As I live on a main road unsurprisingly it wasn’t there when I got home.

I called them and they replaced it no problem.

TheBaltictriangle · 01/12/2018 20:56

SantasFavouriteHo try <a class="break-all" href="//thewww.mountainwarehouse.com/kids/jackets/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">mountain warehouse, [[https://www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2688327_c128/boys-technical-parka-jacket-4-13yrs-blue matalan]] or decathlon for good value coats.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 01/12/2018 21:16

@Fannyfanakerpants I've just checked in the bin in case. Definitely not in there.

No card at all. So annoying. I'm not super surprised that no card was left as my amazon delivery driver is super grumpy. I always have to get to the door if I'm home with the toddler as he knocks and rings like there's an emergency.

@trixymalixy I've tried emailing them but it won't work so I used the chat function thing.

sunshineNdaisies · 01/12/2018 21:16

I wouldn't say I'm devastated about birchbox, I just want to be sure they will arrive in time and that I'm not being charged for december before I get the black friday one.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 01/12/2018 21:16

Sorry putting the tree up, super stressful. Forgot my manners. Thanks so much for the replies Smile

Whyisitsodifficult · 01/12/2018 21:18

What’s the details on the Elemis code please?

woodwaj · 01/12/2018 21:19

Matalan code found on their Facebook page

Elemis is XMAS10 gives £10 off, it's free delivery and a free little sample (as standard I think). They have a £15 hand wash so the code makes it £5. Still expensive for a handwash but I do love the brand.

PurpleSock · 01/12/2018 21:29

Thanks for the espresso martini suggestions a few pafes back! Got the liquor and marshmallows from Aldi for 50p over budget so not bad!

Also pretty annoyed with birch box as I haven't had my 2 for £5 boxes and have now been charged £12.50 for December too!

But, received a code this morning for 15% off orders over £50 on NOTHS GIVEHAPPY15, seems generic so hopefully of use to someone!

Whyisitsodifficult · 01/12/2018 21:39

Thank you.

Studio have some Christmas duvet sets for under £3 but selling fast as it’s posted on several bargain sites on Fb.

Waterlemon · 01/12/2018 22:18

Birchbox must be waiting on new deliveries of some of the box items. I ordered from the shop (not the subscription boxes) and my items came just a few days later.

Chickpearocker · 01/12/2018 22:32

Thank you JDSTER

caffeineanddryshampoo · 01/12/2018 22:38

I received my 2 black friday birchboxes this afternoon.

caffeineanddryshampoo · 01/12/2018 22:43

Jammibammie I've seen some "paint your own squishie kits" about, for example, this

whenwillthetwitchstrike · 01/12/2018 23:29

Tami what order are you doing HP World & Windsor in? If you can, I'd do Windsor in the morning as then you may be able to watch changing of the guard. Whilst changing of the guard is impressive in the castle, it does drag on a bit (but then we did watch it once a fortnight as toddler DS was a bit obsessed). I preferred watching them marching up the hill with the band and then, as you won't have a guard changing obsessed toddler with you, you can go and do the busy bits of the castle whilst everyone else is watching the actual guard change.
Do you have to do both in one day? You can easily spend a day in Windsor and there are lots of lovely places around HP World too. I realise an extra night would add a lot to the budget with 4 DC.
