Christmas friends, I can't wait any longer...I am putting them up. I have mulled wine, carols on and a mince pie. DH is putting the outside lights up just irritate the bah humbug neighbour next door.

Our tree won’t be put up til Dec but I’ve got a lovely new Christmas planner this week and I bought Nigel Slater’s The Christmas Chronicles to read over the next couple of weeks.

Fairy lights and tea lights out in my house. Decorations up on the 16th November (tradition as it’s the day after my mum’s birthday). I genuinely can’t wait! Love it!

I put mine up on the 1st! My DM and my OH would have a fit if I put the up any earlier hahaha

Merry Christmas @Therunecaster I’ve just found this thread and realised it is a through the years one and absolutely made my day! We’re going to put the outside lights on the tree this weekend and I’m going to make a start on the Christmas cards with some music on, whoop!

God there’s some miserable gits on here. Good for you op. It’s a bit early for me to put the tree up, but I’ve bought a gorgeous sleigh and reindeer shaped bowl which I might sneak onto the table now I’ve read this.

I’d have the decorations up if DH would be likely to agree already. He likes to put them up the weekend before 😩. I’ll have to content myself with opening the baileys early :-)

I was starting to think you were my neighbours as their tree goes up this time every year, Im sure last year it was put up in the last week in October!
I used to think it was way too early but after the crap everyone has had to deal with over the last 18 months I’m just thinking Fuck it….why not!

This year I’m itching to get mine up, normally I wait until December 1st, but I’ll hang off for a couple of weeks (if I can)

The sofa was 3nd had from BHF. The chairs were inherited and so comfortable.. I spend a great afternoon with DP, my 3 kids, and their partners. Ive had a dance to a few Christmas songs snd opened the Baileys! Get yours up!
