Christmas friends, I can't wait any longer...I am putting them up. I have mulled wine, carols on and a mince pie. DH is putting the outside lights up just irritate the bah humbug neighbour next door.

Why as a grown up, i like christmas ...

Once upon a time when i was a child, it was magicial, the sights, the smells, the anticipation. Seeing the lights on in peoples houses on cold trips home in the dark. It was a small respite from the troubles in the home.
As a teen i would help make the magic for my younger siblings and i still enjoyed everything above.

As an adult i get to do it for my children, i love it. And as mine have gotten older some help, some dont. I love the looks on their faces when they see how much effort has gone into it, those little things youve found for them that they didnt think of.

So grinches ...bugger off and leave us in the "CHRISTMAS" board alone.

It’s a tad early for me but I still say good for you! I love Christmas! And I’d rather see Christmas trees up early then bloody pumpkins and witches still up from Halloween! 🎄🎄

I love Christmas but right now am enjoying late autumn mode. Candles are lit now, lamps on nice and early and throws and blankets are out but haven't even managed to feel cold enough to have a fire yet, let alone put a tree up! I like mooching my way into Christmas.

I am enjoying lots of online browsing, have my Christmas cookbooks out, have a menu sorted this is all the prep for me so am not a grinch but for me the decorations are the icing on the cake, I like being undercover in my Christmas obsession til November.

I love xmas so i think it nice to see trees up all the xmas movies have started etc ,mine is up 1st dec and cant wait . Xmas gives u nice feelings, its once a year so why not start early. Enjoy the magic of christmas xx

It's not the best of trees tbh but it marks the spot until I can get a real one then it goes in the hallway.

Bertram I enjoy Christmas but the way that adults get all giddy months ahead of the actual day leaves me baffled.

Can I ask if your not fed up of the Christmas decs by Christmas Day ? Do you take them down early like Boxing Day ?
I'm not being a hater if you want to start Christmas early good for you but I just wonder about starting so early .

I keep them up till the 12h day. One year we kept them up till the 1st of April....

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Christmas. But one of the great joys of it is that it's a short period of time. If I started now I'd be well and truly sick of it by the time Christmas Day cam around.
