Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

No idea of price but I heard on the radio that Sainsbury's are selling Brussel sprouts and pigs in blankets flavoured teas...

NoWordForFluffy · 11/10/2018 18:22

They sound grim, Spam!

Drummingisfun · 11/10/2018 18:33

Oh seriously? Bacon/sausage tea? That sounds utterly rank.

Notlongnow1 · 11/10/2018 18:46

Debenhams have some good discounts including this knex set

StarShapedWindow · 11/10/2018 18:50

Can anyone advise me on a good, fun book for a boy of 10? I’ve bought the ‘Find the Unicorn’ book and the Paddington pop-up London book for his sister but can’t find anything for him, thanks.

About the consumerism side of the thread, I do try to buy a lot less these days and as a previous poster said I try to buy quality over quantity but when your DC have things like LOL and Pomsies shoved in their faces through advertising and You Tube its really hard to avoid plastic rubbish.

Duchessofealing · 11/10/2018 18:51

Was someone looking for llamas? They have loads of bits in Flying Tiger.

Wenchelda · 11/10/2018 18:56

starshaped The Works have got a "Where's Wookiee?" Star Wars book for £3 that would be fun for a 10yr old boy and is similar to the "Find the Unicorn" book you've already got

StarShapedWindow · 11/10/2018 19:03

Thanks Wenchelda - that sounds fab, I’ll have a look.

LostMyRubySlippers · 11/10/2018 19:04

blueooo do you mean the bday club on the entertainer? I know they’ve changed their website recently but I’ve just logged into my account & the bday club details are still showing on there.. although I’m not they’ve sent any codes recently...! & not sure if you’re trying to join it as a new customer..

The other way to get a discount on entertainer is that zeek usually have their gift cards available with a saving of a few percent. Could also combine with new customer offer at zeek maybe?

LoudestRoar · 11/10/2018 19:15

Thanks for all the Alpaca/Llama tips!

Stripy29 · 11/10/2018 19:18

Thank you @squ1ggle but both of the codes have been used now.
However @Chocolateunicorn sent me one privately, thank you Flowers

RagamuffinCat · 11/10/2018 19:28

They have lovely adult sized alpaca pyjamas in m and s at the moment :)

Squ1ggle · 11/10/2018 19:30

@Stripy29 glad you got sorted but pretty disappointed in whoever took the code that I clearly intended for you. Wasn't in a position to pm as was on the app on my way home from work. Not what I would expect from somebody on this thread Sad

Spam88 · 11/10/2018 19:33

If anyone is signed up to Tesco baby club, check your emails - I've just had a code for a free photo book.

ismellsnow · 11/10/2018 19:33

Matalan have lots of llama themed things in at the moment, Christmassy bits too

PurpleOctober · 11/10/2018 19:35

Terry's chocolate oranges are 75p at Tesco atm

torthecatlady · 11/10/2018 19:49

@Spam88 I just got that email too! Free postage for click and collect too.

@Reastie what was the name of the fashion programme?

Stripy29 · 11/10/2018 19:50

@squ1ggle i saw your comment before i saw @Chocolateunicorns pm so i was slightly annoyed for a second, but don't worry about it, thank you for thinking of me and I've not lost out so it's all good Smile

Betsy86 · 11/10/2018 19:50

Not to be to ott on the llama ideas but...... lol

GruffaloStick · 11/10/2018 20:15

Squ1ggle it's annoying when someone 'steals' a code isn't it but don't forget about the lurkers, you don't even need to be a member to read it.

My Little Footprints order arrived today, which someone (sorry can't remember whoBlush) mentioned upthread. Thank you! Really love the Lanka animals will probably order some more for DC

LutherRalph1 · 11/10/2018 20:21

Sorry if already mentioned, but morrisons have some of their toys buy one get one free

whereisthatpenguinfrom · 11/10/2018 20:27

Chocolate unicorn coins in B&M £1 per bag

Someone upthread mentioned Sylvanian sets but mine unfortunately didn't have any

whereisthatpenguinfrom · 11/10/2018 20:29

Morrisons have the 900 piece creative lego set on offer 2-for-1 this week, which at £25 means 1500 pieces of lego for £25 / £12.50 per box. Pretty good deal. mine only had one box left when I visited but I have friends who managed to bag two boxes.

Someaddedsugar · 11/10/2018 20:34

@NoWordForFluffy sorry if this is a cross post but Amazon have the full range of Duggee toys on pre-order for sensible prices - the figures are £14.99 for the set and the talking squirrels are £9.99 each

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 11/10/2018 20:44

If anyone is looking for winter boots, hiking or sports footwear gifts or some boots for themselves like I might have just done Merrell are worth a look.

I've just bought some winter £190 boots for £122!

Code MVCSAVE20 gets you 20% off plus on the website there's £30 off a £150 spend
(or if you're spending less there's £20 off £120 spend, £15 off £100 or £10 off £75)
