Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

That ball looks like a mouldy Pepperami I once found in the boot of my car Envy (not envy - why do we not have a vom face?)

Reastie Yes, just Google 'Youtube to MP3 converter' and you'll have a choice. Ensure you have a good anti-malware and ad blocker installed as some are dodgy. I've been using the first one Google brings up with no issues.

Singingitoverandoverandover · 27/08/2018 09:43

yaffle I would imagine so. I doubt we will have much fun with a furry banana. goes to look for a pump

Singingitoverandoverandover · 27/08/2018 10:23

Smiggle sale items from 76p delivery is £4.95 unfortunately.. unless you spend £30 then it’s free.

BuffyFairy · 27/08/2018 10:23

Totally missed posting on thread 1 trying to catch up with you all. I love these threads, thanks Reastie and all who contribute. With 2 kids, an autumn birthday and a Jan one, they save me so much money and fabulous for ideas.

Sad I missed the Asda cheap Hatchimals advent calendar. If anyone spots it again please post. DD is now aware of it's existence.

Anyone looking for dinosaur gifts, I found this book in TK Maxx for £3.99 dinosaur encyclopedia It looks great, easy to dip in and out of sections, lots of illustrations and plenty of facts so it would be suitable for a good age range.

BadgerFace · 27/08/2018 10:43

I’m on the hunt for a cheap Hatchimals advent calendar too! DD has changed her mind from horse Schleich (thankfully)...

KavvLar · 27/08/2018 11:07

@oneofthose yep no problem, pm'd it to you.

torthecatlady · 27/08/2018 11:09

I've decided to get the Christmas decorations out and see if I can get rid of a few. I try this every year unsuccessfully Blush

WreckTangled · 27/08/2018 11:19

The Range have ALL their Christmas stuff out Shock even I was shocked

MsMiaWallace · 27/08/2018 11:24

Argos have little live pets chicks £7.99 reduced from £14.99.

So I bit the bullet & ordered DS2 the twins hatchimal (only just under £32!)

Ordered DS1 the medium Lego box £16ish.

& a little live chick.

CarrotVan · 27/08/2018 11:29

@buffyfairy we have THREE* copies of that dinosaur book and Sharks, Space, and Knowledge in the same series. They’re very good

Does anyone know where I could get some descendants dolls? My dd is particularly after an Evie signature doll from the 2nd movie - the cheapest I’ve found is on US amazon but the import fees etc are almost the price of the doll!

I saw on hot deals than amazon prime is on sale down to £59 for the year instead of £79

  • I can’t find it on mine, probably because I’m already a prime member but perhaps worth a look - I find it invaluable for deliveries alone!
nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 27/08/2018 12:14

jammie have you tried eBay? Had a search and there's lots of descendants dolls on there. You could set up an alert too for when new ones get listed. Or schpock/gumtree/Facebook. I've bought hard to find things second hand if the new is hard to find or too expensive then put in a nice gift box. (Can also double as storage for them!) For dd1's birthday i have bought shopkins dolls second hand and then bought a panda bus box she fell in love with in the works to wrap them in.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 27/08/2018 12:20

Argos have the shopkins super mall on offer for £34.99. It's a great solid toy, I got it for dd2's 6th birthday in June and is being played with loads by both dds. It is pretty big, the box is huge!! Only downside is it doesn't come with any dolls but Argos does have some on offer. And the enchantimals and Disney mini animator dolls are a good size for it too.

I have a descendents obsessed child Jammiebammie luckily last year Home bargains did a set of the 4 main charaters for £9.99. The rest I had to get from disney shop or friend in the US. I did pick up a couple of the more unusual dolls in Toys R Us before they closed down. I did see some things on Ali express and there is still plenty of time to order from there, I have ordered lots of things in the past and they have been fine.

Theonlyoneiknow · 27/08/2018 13:15

Hi All! Thanks for starting the threads :) As September approaches thought I should start getting ready, especially as have a DS who will be 9 on Christmas Day! Missed the Shopkins Mall in my local Argos for DD - will need to see if it comes back in stock! Thanks @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts

Letsgetreadytorumbleagain · 27/08/2018 13:15

Not sure if this has been posted - I'm new to the thread but just in case
I found last years yankee candle Christmas set on their website for £25 - last year it was £50 and then was a star buy at £25 for 1 week

imsorryiasked · 27/08/2018 13:32

@jammiebammie apologies if I'm looking at the wrong thing but isn't this Evie doll?

Jammiebammie · 27/08/2018 14:00

Thanks everyone for the descendants help!
It’s this one here she’s after, typically. I’ll buy it here if I can’t find elsewhere, I just think it’s quite expensive as they don’t make them anywhere.
Luckily I’ve got her to agree on this one rather than the my size Evie which is over £100 Shock

oneofthose · 27/08/2018 14:04

@KavvLar thank you so much! I got my DS a bear trapper hat Smile

FabulouslyFab · 27/08/2018 14:04

This thread is wonderful- thank you everyone!!! I’m looking at sites that I would never usually bother with and am breezing through the Christmas list!

Pondering1 · 27/08/2018 14:45

festivestudio.co.uk/ has some nice Christmas sacks and decorations with 5% off £20 spend

imsorryiasked · 27/08/2018 14:45

My Little Pony Equestria Girls Minis Movie Theatre down to £11 from £36 at The Entertainer and on Amazon

Spam88 · 27/08/2018 14:54

Thanks for everyone who mentioned the joules outlet. Have ordered a top for my MIL - she's so hard to buy for so will be a relief to get something bought for her, just hoping it isn't too long because she's very petite! (May also have bought myself and my daughter dresses 🙈).
