Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I remember something last year about magazine subscriptions.
I have just seen an offer for the first five issues of Simply Sewing magazine for £5, then goes up to normal price, pay by direct debit.
Can I cancel the direct debit after getting the first 5 magazines ?

Alanamackree · 26/08/2018 13:29

Sale at high street tv 10% off with SHOP10, 15% off over £60 with SHOP15 and 20% off over £80 with SHOP20. Doesn’t work on clearance stuff.
I ordered from them last year and parcel went missing and they refunded without any hassle. So I can’t vouch for the products but the customer service was fine.

OhHolyFuck · 26/08/2018 13:54

@Singingitoverandoverandover comic book arrived today and looks great for £3, thanks

imsorryiasked · 26/08/2018 14:18

@woodpigeons yes just cancel the direct debit once you've received the first magazine.

woodpigeons · 26/08/2018 14:22

Thank you imsorry and thank you everyone for this thread.
I’ve got loads of presents already.

imsorryiasked · 26/08/2018 14:47

@Lacypants this one looks ideal if a little pricey. Might be worth holding out for a deal / eBay?

Singingitoverandoverandover · 26/08/2018 15:20

your welcome ohholy 🤗
Has anyone found a good science set? DS7 got one last year and he was so disappointed it was rubbish. Full of bits but you had to have a lot of stuff in the cupboards to make it work and we didn’t.
He likes the idea of test tubes, goggles and experiments! Are any of them
Actually any good?!

Disney top trumps cube match game £4.75 add on item amazon! (£16 Asda)

Batbear · 26/08/2018 15:30

If anyone has anyone that loves Minecraft to buy for, I just bought a Minecraft handbook for 2.99 from B&M. They have most of the 6 volumes.

It cost DS1 £7.49 to buy from Amazon last week, so a really good deal.

DangerousMouse · 26/08/2018 15:30

Has anyone found bargain stockings yet? I'm trying to find slightly smaller ones than the sacks they had last year!

Singingitoverandoverandover · 26/08/2018 15:35

Thanks batbear i will have a look! Always after minecraft, Pokemon and Lego bargains!

BBTHREE76 · 26/08/2018 16:05

woodwaj · 26/08/2018 16:25

Reastie · 26/08/2018 16:33

Adam yes it’s perfectly ok on the basis you’ve ticked off some presents from the list and you haven’t just bought yourself 40 packs of water balloons Wink

CarrotVan · 26/08/2018 16:36

Adam - you’re well stocked for any birthday parties your kids go to

Mrsmadevans · 26/08/2018 17:12

Just been into Wilkos and they have their pick n mix on half price till Tuesday . I bought some for my DDS and friends girly night over bank holiday.
They had some very reduced stocking toys in there as well, they were in the plastic tubs by the stationary . I bought robots for 10p , stretch & flip Dinos and Flamingos for 25p and top trumps for 50p. There were a lot of others there too but they were not suitable, stretchy springs 25p, tsum tsum foils for 50p, stretchy frogs and lizards 50p are ones l can remember but there were quite a few.
