So we're nearly there now, I'm counting down on one hand the number of sleeps!

Still time to post info on Christmas bargains but I'd also love to hear how the gifts you got went down on the big day and also share notes on sale finds

HAPPY CHRISTMAS,!!!

Thanks Moofins. I've ordered him the David Walliams Grandpa book, plus two others for my dd's as Amazon still have their 3 books for £10 offer on.

MiniMileyMoo · 21/12/2017 21:14

Grrr my click and collect from The Works didn't arrive in time (within 5 working days, ordered to store near my work - but finished work now and it's too far to go back to even if it comes before Christmas). Anyone seen any mini/micro fidget spinners anywhere?? DS (5) really wants a fidget spinner - i got him a 'normal' one but realised it's going to be huge in his hand. If not, then it'll have to do!

MyDcAreMarvel · 21/12/2017 21:20

My three year old has s normal size fidget spinner and it's fine.

SolemnlyFarts · 21/12/2017 21:37

Melissa & Doug Pizza Party Wooden Play Food best ever price on Amazon - you can only buy three...

barney11 · 21/12/2017 21:54

Learning Resources Design & Drill is down to £13.99 (usually £35) on Amazon with delivery before Christmas. Great learning toy.

hashtagelfie · 21/12/2017 22:15

mini my 5 yr old also has a regular sized fidget spinner and is absolutely fine with it.

I take back my joy of my Superdrug delivery arriving - Only 3 out of the 8 items I bought have arrived. Apparently my one order has been shipped in 4(!!!) different packages! What a waste! So fingers crossed they arrive tomorrow

Saladtongs · 21/12/2017 22:25

caffeineanddryshampoo get everybody dosed up on sudafed, it cleared my blocked sinuses and full blown cold in less than 48 hrs. It's brilliant stuff.

ThePurpleGirl · 21/12/2017 22:34

Help please! I’ve realised DS doesn’t have a stocking - I now remember that we decided he was too young last year so he didn’t have one, but he needs one this year - and I’ve got stuff to go in one, just not the stocking itself!

I’ve looked on Amazon as I have Prime, but none of the ones I like are guaranteed to arrive in time.

Has anyone seen any on the High Street? I looked in John Lewis this evening having suddenly realised, but they only had silver and gold sequin covered stockings which aren’t ideal for a 15 month boy! I’d quite like a fairly traditional one, e.g. red with a fake fur trim, either plain or with a Nordic pattern. Any suggestions where I should look tomorrow? Clinton’s maybe?

PS thanks to all the posters on these threads - I’ve bought lots of the things highlighted on here! Story cubes, Spicery subscription, the cheap Littlewoods hamper, L’Occitane stuff, the Woolovers two for £10, and lots more! Xmas Smile

LostMyRubySlippers · 21/12/2017 22:35

Matalan usually have nice stockings?

sleepykidsplease · 21/12/2017 22:51

Garden centres usually have stockings

barney11 · 21/12/2017 22:52

Mothercare usually have nice stockings for young children, if you have one near you. Or a local garden centre.

Saladtongs · 21/12/2017 22:54

Hobby craft, the works, £land & £world, b&m and home and bargain, matalan and supermarkets all have stockings.

totallyLosingIt · 21/12/2017 22:55

@ThePurpleGirl I picked up some lovely fair isle stockings (as in the sock shaped hang above the fireplace style) in B&M (£2.49 each). Or, if it's the santa sack size bag sort of thing you want then I got DD and DS's from The Card Factory, they are plain red with a white fur trim (£3.99 iirc).

MyDcAreMarvel · 21/12/2017 22:56

Card factory are actually really nice and £1.99

leccybill · 21/12/2017 23:07

I got DH the mini SNES today when it popped up on Amazon. It was delivered within the hour (!!) and I'm feeling rather pleased with myself.

ThePurpleGirl · 21/12/2017 23:29

Thank you so much for all the stockings suggestions, fingers crossed I find one tomorrow!

Freezingwinter · 22/12/2017 06:39

I really really recommend you try the card factory for stockings!!! I couldn't find my DS stocking from last year and they had LOVELY ones in there for 1.99. Elf, Santa, reindeer and fairy ones I think in different colours!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 22/12/2017 06:53

LOL pets are in stock on the entertainer but for post only so won't arrive time. I've still ordered some and will leave a note from Santa!

hashtagelfie · 22/12/2017 07:29

Just in case anyone is already thinking of next year - Amazon have the playmobil 1.2.3. Advent calendar for £9.96 at the moment

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 22/12/2017 07:54

Does anyone know how I can check argos to see where the have stock without suggesting every town in the UK?!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 22/12/2017 08:19

@ThePurpleGirl you've had lots of suggestions but the white company usually have nice Nordic type stockings in. Probably a code somewhere too (think you can use in a physical shop or perhaps only if you have it on a piece of paper)

tootsieglitterballs · 22/12/2017 08:32

I haven’t been on the threads for a good while now due to having our amazing DS2 3 weeks ago.

However, I am now getting the twitch , especially for DH gifts!

hashtagelfie · 22/12/2017 08:39

smiggle sale

RJnomore1 · 22/12/2017 08:41

Just to say I was in clintons on Wednesday and I didn't see any stockings so possibly one NOT to go to?

Cupoteap · 22/12/2017 08:44

Any ideas how to wrap/present a gift experience vouchers that's not just in an envelope?
