Sorry if stepping on toes, but I haven't noticed a twitch thread this year, so thought I would start one Smile
I've just twitched and bought a pair of heelys for ds(9), a ghostbusters proton pack for ds (4) and a candy grabber for dd (6). Tell me what you have all impulse bought.

I've bought a nice candle for secret santa
I've also twitched on some funky earphones for ds1
Blush
MUST STOP

Cagliostro · 02/12/2016 16:57

I will stop tomorrow. Shopping on my own. I have a list. Must not deviate.

OhFuckOff · 02/12/2016 17:02

I missed a parcel from the postman Xmas Angry will have to go to the sorting office tomorrow. But I did get max and ruby ty teddies from home bargains Xmas Wink

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 02/12/2016 17:14

I don't know who max and ruby are but my two looove ty beanie boos. I got one each for them a couple of months ago as a multi buy offer, as I was getting presents for upcoming friends' parties, but I didn't hide them quick enough so I had a moment of being a softie and let them just have them 🙄😳 the other day DD was making Christmas clothes for them.

They often have cuddlies sticking out of their stocking but not twitching on more this year now. Nooooo I'm not.

OhFuckOff · 02/12/2016 17:21

I've got lanky cats the last few years for mine for sticking out of the stocking. We are down to the last ones needed, thank fuck as they are £11 and bloody small but it's sort of expected

OP posts:
Afishcalledchips · 02/12/2016 17:22

FFS, bought DS1 a cheapo action camera on Amazon's lightning deals a few days ago for £25. Cheap and cheerfull, I though. Just checked back, it's £35. All good and well. But the SAME camera, but WITH wifi is only £19.99.

HOW ANNOYING IS THAT!?

So I'm going to send back the £25 one, and find something small to make up to free delivery, probably something which will end up costing more than a fiver but it's the bloody principle of the thing.

I though I was finished with christmas shopping!

SatsukiKusakabe · 02/12/2016 17:41

cagliostro I usually get little cuddly toys to stick out the top, too, but dd has asked for a soft toy Tigger as her FC present so she's got a big one to open alongside her stocking - I wasn't going to get her another one. However ds has a Pikachu as well as his FC present, so I'm trying not to twitch on a Beanie Boo dragon she reluctantly put back at the toy shop a few weeks ago. Part of me - the twitching part - thinks I should get her cuddly toys whilst she still really wants them, then I read about your dd still being into them at 9 and think there's 6 years difference there and we're overrun with them as it is Grin

ohfuckoff put your debit card in the safe you've just had delivered Grin

afishcalledchips that sort of thing really gets on my wick. Type stocking fillers into the search and you get lots of things for 1.99 on Amazon to make up the postage, or did the other day.

OhFuckOff · 02/12/2016 18:00

Satsuki I think dh would agree with you Xmas Wink

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 02/12/2016 18:11

Oooh fish that'd piss me right off. Half the time (underestimate?) those deals are a total farce. I tend to try and stick to only getting things on deals that I've been price watching for a long time. But when an offer that seems so great comes up it's hard to resist.

Re: making up free delivery. I have a separate wishlist for little things that I'm wanting anyway, and then when I need a couple of quid to reach £20 minimum I can quickly choose something that I already know I want. It's mostly old films on DVD, stationery etc.

Yes the Caglets are still totally into teddies. I'm especially happy that DS still is as there's a lot of pressure on boys to grow out of them fast. But his favourite is a pink zebra beanie boo called Zachary :)

Cagliostro · 02/12/2016 18:12

We did have a little purge of teddies though. It was difficult! But our house is tiny and there's only so many that will fit on their toy hammock before it collapses again

Afishcalledchips · 02/12/2016 18:50

I usually do that too cagliostro but I've already bought all the extra bits I had in my basket while I've been doing the rest of my Christmas shopping Xmas Grin

I'm less cross but still annoyed with Amazon, the camera is the only thing DS1's asked for, and for the spec/price it seemed OK. If I'm honest I couldn't really be arsed to research it properly though. Oh well, there's a £19.99 (with WiFi) version and a burts bees lip balm (for me, see, so I'm behaving) on the way now too.

SatsukiKusakabe · 02/12/2016 19:00

Yes we had family members saying ds was too old to want teddies at 3 Confused Just ridiculous. He has lots from days out to places and loves his one from BaB.Their great-grandma sent me some money today to get them gifts; I've started to think of taking them to Build-a-Bear for a post Christmas trip. In a way it would be nice to have a budget for them to spend that I didn't have to worry about.

OhFuckOff · 02/12/2016 19:37

Satsuki whoever said that is crazy I would go no contact Wink. My ds(9) takes 3 cat teddys all called ziggy to bed with him every night. I dread making dd(6) bed as she has so many teddys on it, but they are her favourite things.

KikisDeliveryService · 02/12/2016 21:33

emoji lollies would go down well...

OhFuckOff · 03/12/2016 18:34

Having never had playmobil, the younger two children are loving their advent calendars must not twitch

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 03/12/2016 18:39

3 years old? Wow that's sad :( DS took his little snowy owl with him to see family today. He rarely goes out without (a) a teddy and (b) a transformer :o

I got the last two unbroken emoji lollies in the shop. Sadly no poop ones left. But the cry-laughing face so they'll be happy anyway.

Waterstones had the story cubes set I particularly wanted (but for some reason couldn't find online unlike DD's) so got that.

Didn't twitch on anything else today. I just bought clothes that the kids need, god that adds up so fast :(

SatsukiKusakabe · 03/12/2016 20:18

Yes, I mean it wasn't in a kind of "get rid of his teddy!" Way, but certainly in a "he's grown out of them/too old for them now" way. which is just as bad as it could make him feel self conscious about wanting them. I was baffled as I don't think I started getting into teddies until at least 3!

Your ds sounds very much like mine - swap the snowy owl for snow leopard, transformer, yep, our last car trip Grin

Got some stocking stuff today. magic flannel for dd, pizza cutter for dh, and the obligatory matey bubble bath Xmas Smile

SatsukiKusakabe · 03/12/2016 20:19

I am so sitting on my hands regarding story cubes Xmas Biscuit

Cagliostro · 03/12/2016 20:26

Aw, I miss the days of magic flannels. They used to be a regular stocking filler, every year one with a favourite character on. But they never actually use flannels so we stopped.

I still remember when I was given one as a kid, it was Beauty and the Beast, I was AMAZED :o

Badders123 · 04/12/2016 07:48

My DC still get th Xmas Smile

Badders123 · 04/12/2016 07:49

Them...

OhFuckOff · 04/12/2016 07:52

Magic flannels here too and matey Xmas Smile

badtasteflump · 06/12/2016 10:13

I've twitched again Angry

Stopped at supermarket to grab a sandwich for lunch and came out £40 lighter - with an assortment of stationary bits for stockings, more chocolates and smellies and am now thinking they're going to need bigger stockings.

OhFuckOff · 06/12/2016 10:35

I twitched to the tune of £109 for a hornby set Xmas Blush but it had really dropped in price. Plus we always do a special extra present under the tree which turns up in the afternoon. It's always something they really want but are told it's not possible to have. The younger two have hatchimals and this train is ds(9) most favourite. He's been told absolutely he is not having a hornby for Christmas so it will make his day.

Ohfuckoff love the look of the lanky cats- are they decent quality?
