I have seen a few comments about the blippo voucher still working, just to let you all know that this should probably continue working indefinitely Smile I started received emails with this code about 18 months ago and it hasn't changed at all. I get the emails because I subscribed to the box for 6 months

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 05/11/2016 13:06

Celtic yes please for frugi code - have sent pm as this code will end.

Lots Lego offers on Amazon for 40-50% off - airport starter set under £5, ninja robin set 3.55, can't remember them all but about 8 I looked at - the volcanic stuff is good price

gaggiagirl · 05/11/2016 13:33

If anyone is interested in the pork scratching advent calendar this is what it looks like compared to the 99p Kinnerton one..... GIANT.

Any bargainous ideas for presents for 7-9 month olds? I have two in the family to buy for, both boys, both first babies to older mums, first christmas for them both. I am looking for something a little different - not just a toy. And need it to be a bargain too of course!

All of my kids are sooooo old now in comparison that I just can't think of anything!

primitivemom · 05/11/2016 13:53

Thanks Dubious, il do that instead c

primitivemom · 05/11/2016 13:54

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 05/11/2016 14:03

Just seen on fb that some of the £2 Wilkos blox sets are 50p and some £1-£1.50 ones are 25p
Included some dinosaurs, ice cream truck camper van

Not online

Could be good little stocking fillers

I unfortunately don't have one any where near me

Batbear · 05/11/2016 14:04

I've been following the threads and have got some excellent tips. I had even saved all year to make up for the last 2 miserable Christmases (bereavement and house moving stress).

DH (who is a newish driver), burned out the clutch yesterday pinching a £400 hole in my savings!

Help! Glad i've been saving at least

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 05/11/2016 14:04

The ones at the back are 50p the front ones are 25p

SymphonyofShadows · 05/11/2016 14:13

DS wants to buy his buddy a gift. She is in reception so 4/5. I've no idea about what little girls like, would something like Smiggle be ok or is she too young? I looked at that Shopkins set linked upthread for about £10 but for all I know she has it all!

d270r0 · 05/11/2016 14:23

Chocolateteabag for a 16 year old I really would give vouchers, she'd probably love that and the ability to treat herself to exactly what she wants. Some shop that she can easily get to would be ideal, if you did amazon it would be better to give £20 so she doesn't need to pay extra for delivery.

Catanddogmake6 · 05/11/2016 14:24

4/5 probably a bit young for Smiggle. Not that mine wouldn't love it but a bit of a waste as no pencil case. What are their shared interests? Paw patrol is a favourite here but might be too young. The ones I know who like shopkins are older but it can vary. Beanie boos always seem to go down well. Is she a girly girl or tomboy?

Catanddogmake6 · 05/11/2016 14:29

My little pony is another idea. Playmobil goes down well - can tailor it to how girly. The cases are usually about £10 but I'm sure someone found them cheaper. Anything from fairies to pirates.

Batbear · 05/11/2016 14:31

turkey the list is still quite long - DH has a huge family and we buy for everyone.
What I have left is:
2 BIL's, my MIL, nephews aged 18 (with autism), 15, 28, 25, 17 and 21.

I have my parents and brother and his wife too, but they are much easier than the nephews!

So glad i have some bits done already!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 05/11/2016 14:33

symphony my dd is 4 and current loves

Paw patrol - particularly the busy book, tshirts with skye or everest on (asda have a few), mashems, books (book people have a set for £5 or the works have a set in a bag for £7) thetoyshop.com has a watch for £2.40

Beanie boos or tsum tsum teddies

Keyring for her book bag - cute animal or something fluffy!

Sticker books.

Unicorns - loves them (apparently going to have a unicorn farm when she's big....)

Books - in particular the fairytale hairdresser, kipper, mog and the dinosaur who pooped series :)

Magnetic scribbler - she has a paw patrol one £5 from the entertainer.

She does like shopkins but not sure if that's influence from older dd!

SymphonyofShadows · 05/11/2016 14:33

Thanks. Some great ideas. He has been showing her simple coding with a Beebot in their buddy time but I don't know if she's actually interested! She looks like a girly girl but she is quite a fearless little character. I think Playmobil might be the way to go.

Batbear · 05/11/2016 14:34

symphony all the reception girls parties we attended with DS1 last year were princess or teddy themed. I bought a mini mouse bag from Clintons which went down well for one, and a disney art set for another.

pantherfootballforever · 05/11/2016 14:36

Hey, so a friend of mine is looking for an Xbox 1S for her son's birthday this coming Thursday. The bundle she has been looking at is in Smyths and comprises the following:

Xbox 1s 500gb with FIFA 17, Minecraft & an extra controller.

In Smyths it's £269 but isn't in stock at our local store and not available for home delivery.

Anyone know where she could get something similar at a similarly decent price?
