Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

DD2 loves her Leapfrog activity watch £11.99 here. Amazon has the blue one at the same price today.

The bonus is it wears her out Grin

HoggleHoggle I often see WOW toys in TKMaxx - obvs a bit hit and miss but worth keeping an eye out.

Whataboutwhathuh · 02/08/2016 11:31

What age is the leap band activity watch good for? I'm thinking of it for my ds1 who will be 3.5

GerrardWinstanley · 02/08/2016 11:55

whatabout I would say that's the perfect age to get maximum value Smile

Whataboutwhathuh · 02/08/2016 12:28

Thanks, I've ordered one.

Icklepickle101 · 02/08/2016 13:31

What could be better on a grey rainy August day then christmas planning Xmas Grin Good to see you all again!

My first Christmas gift arrived through the post today which I had forgotten about I got my twins tickets for disney frozen on ice for the 27th December, so that's their main gift sorted. Now just to fill their stockings. I'm adament this year that I'm not going to buy loads of material stuff as I always gets stressed trying to find new homes for it all with four kids.

I really recommend Xmas Budget the app for planning and keeping an eye on the costs. It's fab!

GerrardWinstanley · 02/08/2016 14:52

My mermaid blanket was also really lovely quality but alas too small for DD2. My fault - it's true to the size listed but I have ridiculously tall children. So pleased with the quality I've ordered both DDs adult size ones now.

I've scoured but I can't see it (surely I'm just being thick as it's got to be there somewhere) but can anyone link the mermaid blankets again?
My friend is going through chemo and I hope one would make her smile and keep her warm during treatment

SideOrderofChip · 02/08/2016 15:04

I'm looking for a wooden toy kitchen if anyone sees one on offer please :) xx

Whataboutwhathuh · 02/08/2016 18:39

I can un-recommend the asda wooden kitchen. Ours fell apart within hours. We returned it and have had the ikea kitchen for two years nearly. It's brilliant and they do discount it fairly regularly.

StubbleTurnips · 02/08/2016 18:41

Second the IKEA kitchen, ours has been used daily for 2 years and as good as new. I stocked up on wooden chopping veg through ELC when it came up on sale (Aug BH useful for that!).

SideOrderofChip · 02/08/2016 18:42

IKEA kitchens have always been spoken of very highly here

I love our IKEA kitchen. It's been played with every single day since Xmas. DD was just 2. DP customised it and it's fabulous.

FestiveFran · 02/08/2016 19:20

Another IKEA kitchen endorsement here!

verytiredmummy1 · 02/08/2016 19:27

Thank you so much. Is this the one you mean?

How old were your DC when you bought it?

Yep, DD got it for Christmas when she was 20months or so.

LostMyRubySlippers · 02/08/2016 19:56

Ordered the Tomy bath foam cone toys off Groupon as linked above- there is further discount if you order 2 of them, plus new customers can use code SAVE10 for £10 off a £25 spend- works out that way at just over £20 for 2 of them inc delivery
