Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Hi everyone just popping in to say Jack Wills got sale on at moment. Might be good for teenager. Looked for ds but he's just bit to small still. [http://www.jackwills.com/sale-and-offers/gentlemen/all-sale/]

insan1tyscartching · 30/07/2016 14:28

Thank you Voldemort have ordered the Fiorelli handbag supposedly for me but suspect dd1 might well "borrow it"

OhHolyFuck · 30/07/2016 15:29

Half price Yankee Christmas candles here

CurriedEggs · 30/07/2016 16:06

Thanks Voldermort but it was the Hollister link I meant Grin

VoldemortsNipple · 30/07/2016 17:12

Sorry curriedeggs the Hollister link takes me to the uk site too. If you go onto the uk site through Google, click on sale in the girls or guys drop down menu for all the offers. Hope that helps.

If anyone has any older children/teenagers interested in geocaching, I've just bought this mini GPS receiver on aliexpress for £19 free delivery. It's the cheapest I could find online. I ordered it now as aliexpress delivery does take a good 4-6 weeks on some items.

Geocache Link

lozabella · 30/07/2016 19:20

Gin will you update when it gets here?! DP into geocaching but we just use our phones ATM. However it drains battery so this may work.

GinThief · 30/07/2016 19:33

Will do Iozabella, I've bought it for PIL's who also use their phones but thought this would be a nice xmas gift.

OhHolyFuck · 30/07/2016 19:45

Not quite Christmas related but thought I'd ask you all to keep an eye out on your travels, I need a king size bed frame/divan base, as cheap as possible (like £100) and with decent reviews
It'd be a godsend if someone manages to find one!

PolkaHeart · 30/07/2016 19:50

Great thread - have been sitting at work reading through & starting my Christmas shopping!

Thanks everyone Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/07/2016 19:51

Some good deals and discounts on pens/stationery/crayons etc at wilko

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 30/07/2016 21:41

Thanks Voldemortsnipple for the hollister tip, got DH essentially a new wardrobe! Plus if you sign up for their emails you can get extra 10% off including sale items (only works for new customers apparently though I'm pretty sure I've ordered from there before) 😀

nickdrakeslovechild · 30/07/2016 22:19

oh god I have a dilemma, I got the big playmobil shopping centre for the amazing price of £42 back in January its all in box safe in the loft.

Was in a toy shop this weekend and DD saw the small version - ooh isn't that amazing I said hint bloody hint oh no mummy I really don't like that says DD!! I was saying but there is an amazing version with a lift and a cafe. No she is sure she does not like it.

I cant believe it she loves the other playmobil I got her before and constantly plays with her sylvanian families.

What do I do, its her main present?? Do I sell it on and get her something else or hope she changes her mind nearer to Christmas?

candykane25 · 30/07/2016 22:37

nick I got the smaller one (half price St. John Lewis) for DD age 3. She does not play with it.
I would keep it until nearer Christmas and if she's still not keen, flag it then.

SideOrderofChip · 30/07/2016 23:18

I'd keep till closer to Christmas then flog is locally

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 31/07/2016 08:25

I might take it off your hands Nick! Let me know nearer Christmas Grin

woodwaj · 31/07/2016 14:09

I think id sell it too. Theres a lot of small pieces in that box that might end up randomly all over your house when they don't need to be!

SpringerS · 31/07/2016 15:11

This High Tide Rescue Bots Transformer set from The Entertainer seems pretty good value compared to the prices I normally see it for;

Methenyouplus4 · 31/07/2016 17:07

Thank you for Wilko tip-great buys as stocking fillers.

Jamiesmuddyknees- my DS is too small for JW so go to outlet and buy bits there such as pencil case (£5), water bottle (£1.50), hat, back pack £15 etc.

Star2015 · 31/07/2016 17:38

Oh Holy thanks for the Yankee tip.. Just bought an advent calendar for me and my mom 😄
