Christmas

So what do YOU want for Christmas?!

There are so many threads on what to get DCs/aged relatives for Christmas, I thought I would start one with our Christmas wish lists - fantasy or otherwise!

This is the place to be extremely materialistic and share what you would like Santa to bring you this December 25th.

After world peace blah, blah, blah, I would like the following:

A nice watch (haven't had one for years)
An appointment to get my 'colours' done
Sheepskin slippers
Some new running trainers
Riding lessons
Some nice skin care products and make up
Paperchase stationary
A shopping spree for new clothes on the back of having my colours done

I am never in million years expecting all of this, maybe one or two things if I'm lucky! I also like surprises/little bits and bobs too.

What is on your crimbo list this year? Smile

Hmm world peace
Health and happiness
Right, now the good stuff;

City break for me and dh
New clothes
Money for a holiday abroad with the kids
Chocolate
Voucher for tony and guy monthly
Lots of nice craft and cake decorating stuff
Lots of cake!

That'll do. What a fab Christmas that would be!

A pretty ring Grin
A KMix (or Kitchnaid)
Harry Potter Lego Hogwarts Castle Grin

Erm... Just something on time, under the tree without telling what it is first would be nice tbh

Gift vouchers for clothes shops. I never treat myself and vouchers would force me to go out and buy nice things for myself.

I get fuck all too SAHM It sucks doesn't it?

I just buy myself whatever I want and give it to my eldest to wrap. At least that way I get summat decent rather than tat.

Anything that's not smellies or chocolate. Every year I get these from the inlaws even though I've tried to tell them I have sensitive skin and don't have a sweet tooth!

Fantasy list:
New kitchen
New bathroom
Loft conversion
Car (any car, not fussed)
Marriage proposal!

Ah, new jammies. We've done the Xmas eve pjs for the DCs for a few years now, last year I decided "I want in on that" and got myself some Dumbo trousers from asda... and glow in the dark ghostbusters trousers for DH :o

Looking forward to choosing some more this year... also choose my own underwear (we all get some character ones in our stockings)

Fantasy list-

New car

This is lovely! But I really want to invite sahm to Christmas with us and shower her with presents. And also have LauraS and let her sit on the sofa all day with G and T.

Anyway:
A bright green becksondergard scarf with stars on
A gold dragonfly necklace
A bright yellow leather handbag

I would love a brooch I have seen in the Amnesty catalogue, and a copy of Antonia Fraser's 'Perilous Question'. Also some Neals Yard handcream.

On my fantasy list would be a night off with DH. Haven't had one for nearly 6 years because of DS2 (who has SN) and not having anyone to leave him with. Am counting down the 3 years til DS1 is 15 and we may actually get to leave DS2 with him Grin

I genuinely have no idea what I want. Even in the realms of fantasy.

Is that good or bad?

I never really get anything much as I spend all my birthday money (week before Xmas) on other people and all our paycheck on the food and festivities. So there isn't anything much for my husband to use for a gift for me. If I could have anything I would ask for:-

Some good books.
chocolate orange
a nice sweater
money to go sales shopping
a beautiful piece of jewellery that I genuinely love - genuine art deco sapphires and diamond bracelet perhaps.

I will probably get slippers or some other panicked gift like the frying pan, apron, kitchen knife that have all appeared in previous years. Something weird and random from my in laws, and whatever I buy myself from pressie money from my family. Christmas is all about the kids really, isn't it? :/

I would like:

A nice pearly or crystal pinkish necklace from Penelope Red
Some really lovely smellies
A long line cashmere jumper

Fantasy Presents: that someone, one day will actually go and get me what I would like rather than buying me a load of stuff that isn't to my taste and that they jolly well should know isn't to my taste (Yes you mother).

Oh, and in the land of true fantasy an Asprey Handbag - it was soooo beautiful I googled it and thought to myself "you know, I would spend £500 on that (It was £8,000) - I clearly have taste. And a Pre-Raphaelite painting Grin and the latter is truly and utterly out of the question. Although DH would be more minded to buy me an appreciating asset rather than a depreciating asset Grin

Oooh just returned to see a tres busy thread!

Hmm @ SAHM - I would buy myself a load of goodies, wrap them up, and place under tree, AND be seriously tempted to screw your DH et al, and not buy them anything this year. You deserve better!

Interesting that a few of us want out colours done- I hadn't heard of it before MN.

I would also like to add a breadmaker and 2 kittens to my growing list. Grin
