Christmas

So what do YOU want for Christmas?!

There are so many threads on what to get DCs/aged relatives for Christmas, I thought I would start one with our Christmas wish lists - fantasy or otherwise!

This is the place to be extremely materialistic and share what you would like Santa to bring you this December 25th.

After world peace blah, blah, blah, I would like the following:

A nice watch (haven't had one for years)
An appointment to get my 'colours' done
Sheepskin slippers
Some new running trainers
Riding lessons
Some nice skin care products and make up
Paperchase stationary
A shopping spree for new clothes on the back of having my colours done

I am never in million years expecting all of this, maybe one or two things if I'm lucky! I also like surprises/little bits and bobs too.

What is on your crimbo list this year? Smile

A day spa day. Alone. Definitely no children.
A cleaner.
A meal out with only DH
A watch
Clothing vouchers
Nice footwear
My wedding ring fixed (dh cut it off a few months after our wedding and I would love it fixed)
Chocolates purely for me.
Oh and have my colours done.

I'd like Yellow Submarine on DVD and some Russian Dolls.
And maybe some fluffy socks

Mary Poppins.
Then I could go back to work and sleep at night time and then buy what I want.

If MP unavailable, I'd settle for some babysitting so DH and I could spend some time á deux.

Oh, and a Kitchen Aid. In metallic blue. And a new kitchen to go with it Wink.

And if we're pushing the boat out, maybe a detatched house so I don't have to listen to next door doing an Eastenders impression every single night. Seriously. You don't need to shut a door that many times in an evening. Just leave it open. You noisy anti social cahhhh.

A North Face gilet- I have wanted one for years but they are sooooo expensive I always talk myself out of it.
An Icey Tek cool box
New walking boots
To have the heating fixed on my terminally cold car- failing that some new gloves!
A handmade flat cap from the company that made DHs. I am hopeful on this score as he is sick of me wearing his for dog walking :o

No gamerchick, no lie in or day off housework...ever! No Christmas, Birthday or Mothers Day presents...ever.

Nobody in my family buys for me either picnicbase even though I buy for them.

So, I suppose my wish list really should be...a present, any bloody present, just something for once!

I'd love DH to think for himself of something I might like. Presents tend to be things he would like!

I can't genuinely think of anything I want...no wonder I'm hard to buy for!

Would they get the message and try harder if you bought yourself something and wrapped it up? I can't believe it wouldn't sink in how unfair it is on you if you actually sat there and unwrapped a gift from yourself. Not that should have to, of course. I don't get why your H doesn't make some kind of gesture to show he cares. Seriously Sad

Sorry sahm, I will shut up now Blush

I'm going to be v.materialistic as I rarely get presents.

I would love;

New Uggs, chestnut tall.
A new handbag, black.
A charm for my bracelet.
A cream pan set.
A wall clock for the living room.
New pyjamas.

Not as materialistic as I thought Smile

sahm how very awful that your husband doesn't appreciate you and teach your children the same. :(

What would happen if you didn't get anyone any presents this year, apart from your DCs?

I would really like a local part time job to help me actually pay for Christmas this year. Been looking for a while though, and nothing suitable has come up yet.

On balance though, good old Amazon vouchers are a safe fall-back for me, so that I can order some new books, or anything else that takes my fancy.

Money or other vouchers are good, so that I can spend them unwisely for once.

I don't know but I had better think of some things soon as my family will start asking in the next week or two.

If I am really honest (and if anyone asks, I never said this, wink wink) what I would really like is someone else to host Christmas. I have organised 31 Christmas Days so far and to be honest, it is getting a bit tedious. Everyone wants to come to mine as we have the space and each year it passes in a blur of cooking and cleaning. Plus, littlest DS gets so over excited on Christmas Eve (he has Aspergers) that he can't sleep till about two o'clock in the morning, so I am usually running on empty by the Big Day itself.

I love them all, I really do, but they are all having a much nicer day than I am

Or perhaps some perfume. Or a puppy Grin

I want a necklace with the dd's fingerprints on. I know this is not at all hip or with it, but I still want one. I will get it because I've discussed it with dp and it is my joint present with my birthday.

Dm is getting me one quarter of a trampoline for the dds (dp and the dds are getting the rest). I am delighted with this as I know dd1 will love it (and I hope dd2 will when she's bigger).

If I could choose anything else, I'd probably want a big pile of Lakeland and Ikea vouchers. If I was having a properly fantasy wish it would be for a bee hive.
