Since robotgate was beginning to fill up the third bargain thread I thought I'd start a dedicated thread here to save Reastie from having to write another mega op just a few days after the last one!

I haven't had my phone call yet and am actually excited for them to ring as I want to put my jargon into use (Is that weird??)

I have a dispatch date of 29th, really hoping that it shows up now.

The lovely iloveholidays took the trouble to post in legal for us and got some good advice. (Even though it was her birthday!) You can read that thread here:

Is anyone else worried about the reports of hope charging full price after delivery? I can barely afford £13 for the robot - definitely not £40!

Well I have emailed them last week with no reply so I don't plan on trying to contact them again.

I'm going to check my bank and my hope account and see if everything is as it was. If so I will wait for the magical '29th' and see if they dispatch.

Will wait for a phone call in the mean while.

If they have cancelled it I will phone them and go bat shit on their asses. Or rather have a reasoned debate while using mildly threatening terms as mentioned upthread!

I think I'm going to wait and see whether they try to call again tomorrow and say what has been suggested up thread. If not will see what Thursday brings!

Hoping they just decide to honour the orders and cut their losses....

Toys R us is resolved. I got a phonecall at 7 am (wahhh) from the courier saying it's in my garage.

No says me, my garage is never open. Yes says he. You have been on holiday says he, your neighbour told me. No says me, I haven't, I've been here.

And so it went on until it transpires that he has left it in the garage of a neighbour - well a neighbour who lives on a different street Confused.

Anyway he came down, got it out of their garage put yet another note through their door explaining it all and gave me my parcel!

Poor people are going to wonder what the devil is going on when they come back.

Have emailed toys and told them, have parcel and all is resolved.

Fingers crossed Hope has a good a result.

Anyone else excited about decision day? (D-Day?) I'm just going to do nothing unless they contact me or make some kind of action. Hoping that this time next week I'll be trying to find somewhere to store the blooming thing!

Any news from anyone? Nothing here and just about to say goodbye to my grandpa (terminal cancer) so they'd better not bloody ring then!

well I've just checked my credit card and still no refund and they took payment on 16th so will be annoyed now if they call. that's quite a while to keep money for something they don't intend to send out!!!!!!

Thanks for your very kind messages. He was in a bad way so we only stayed a couple of hours. Left as the Macmillan nurses were due. We got to see him though and he got to watch dd play for a while (he adores her), so that was nice. Hoping it won't be too long now for his sake as he is suffering a bit.
Sorry about your gran ilove. I lost my other grandpa last month too and it really knocks you for six doesn't it? I hope your gran didn't suffer and that it wasn't prolonged. Xxx

I'm hoping that no news is good news (on the robot front), though if I were one of those whose robot wasn't honoured then I'd be pretty pissed if others are.
