Since robotgate was beginning to fill up the third bargain thread I thought I'd start a dedicated thread here to save Reastie from having to write another mega op just a few days after the last one!

I haven't had my phone call yet and am actually excited for them to ring as I want to put my jargon into use (Is that weird??)

I have a dispatch date of 29th, really hoping that it shows up now.

The lovely iloveholidays took the trouble to post in legal for us and got some good advice. (Even though it was her birthday!) You can read that thread here:

Is anyone else worried about the reports of hope charging full price after delivery? I can barely afford £13 for the robot - definitely not £40!

no call here yet. had a missed call yesterday which I think was them. I'm ready to argue. got nothing to lose!!!

I wonder if they've decided to give up... from a business perspective the amount of time they've probably wasted their end looking into it and making calls must be ridiculous. maybe it's just wishful thinking. Grin

Haven't heard anything yet. They phoned at 1ish yesterday. Hope they don't call same time as will be collecting DC from nursery.

I checked my account and it is still saying despatch 29th. I've geared myself up for the phone call. Bet they don't phone back!

I'm wondering whether to contact Hope Education or to wait as I didn't supply a phone number either and have had no contact from them via email. I will be very Angry if they cancel without contacting me first.

I ordered on 16th and also have the 29th given as despatch.

ilove thats what i'm thinking too, they might say one thing and do another, Terra Grin i want to though because i want to vent/ get what i want to say off my chest, but at the same time because of this i think i might stuff it up grrr...

Might email but so far nobody that has has had a response.
hope they don't construe no contact by us as being blase about our purchase, ah double grrr!

The thing is joymaker - they don't know that we know anything about any of this. If it weren't for these threads then none of us would have a clue.

Radio silence is very suspicious. I'm going to stay silent unless contacted I think. I'm guessing that they are wondering what to do.

If they do decide to honour them then will those that have been told no contact again?

Yes and maybe they're seeking advice as to where they stand legally.

For them to be umming and arring like this makes me wonder exactly how many robot orders they got!

I just went over to Nethuns to spy by accident and they've got a thread exactly like ours, even people cursing vertbaudet, so it wouldn't surprise me if they found that price too.
Tbh if they get legal advice then hopefully they'll realise that they messed up and are on very shaky ground!
