Since robotgate was beginning to fill up the third bargain thread I thought I'd start a dedicated thread here to save Reastie from having to write another mega op just a few days after the last one!

I haven't had my phone call yet and am actually excited for them to ring as I want to put my jargon into use (Is that weird??)

I have a dispatch date of 29th, really hoping that it shows up now.

The lovely iloveholidays took the trouble to post in legal for us and got some good advice. (Even though it was her birthday!) You can read that thread here:

Is anyone else worried about the reports of hope charging full price after delivery? I can barely afford £13 for the robot - definitely not £40!

Just phoned to double check the opening hours -8am-5.30pm mon-Fri. Guess that's it until Monday then!

Tuesday then. And that makes it the 27th - only two days before that magical dispatch date!
Did those that have already received have a dispatch date of 29th or around then?

I think if they were offering refunds they should have done it by now. We could argue that they have been holding our money for a week for nothing otherwise.

I too am a victim of Hope robotgate :(
I ordered on 16th Aug. The money left my account on 19th Aug.
My Hope account still says dispatch of 29th Aug.
I didn't leave a phone number.

I really hope they honour the deal :(

Hi, I ordered on the 16th, money went out almost immediately and when I logged in despatch was 2-4 days. I received it 3 days after ordering it.
Will be interesting to see what happens on Tuesday. Fingers crossed for you all.

Aside from Robotgate I now have another headache and I don't know what to do about it.

I thought I would ask you lot!

Toys r us use Hermes for their deliveries. I had a text on Tuesday morning saying delivery between 8am and 9pm. No one came we were home all day. I looked online to track parcel and they said delivery attempt made.

Any way on wed same text will be delivered 8-9. Nothing came, so I looked online and it said delivered and customer signature received.

Well it wasn't me or any of my neighbours. I know them all, have check with them all and there has been no card put through saying left at number X.

Hermes won't discuss it with me, they say I have to take it up with Toys R us, so I have, and they say the courier has delivered it and got a signature and that I should check with other members of my household Hmm.

So now what?

I've emailed toys r us again saying they bloody well haven't got my signature and I want them to tell me who they delivered it to and who signed for it. I've also asked them to advise of the next step as I want the items buy the end of next week.

Any one know what I can do? They have to make sure I get it don't they? It's £40 worth of stuff, I'm not letting that go.

And breathe.

Oreo toysrus can claim for the item it's up to them to sort it out. Demand proof of signature and address, demand they send the driver back to where he delivered it etc etc

Thank you Spotty, so I can ignore Hermes and put pressure on Toys r us. I've already asked them to find out who signed for it and where, so I will see what that comes up with. (after the obligatory 20 hour wait for a response).

If they can't give me a good enough answer I will be very demanding. I'm so annoyed! I will not be brushed off with a patronising 'have you asked your husband?' type of response. Cheeky sods.

Well I'm all revved up now, Hope, Toys r us, watch out. You will give me my toys grrrrrr.

I would think so. Whenever I had a similar problem with Hermes via asos they just resent it for me. I used to work in online retail and we never, ever expected the customer to chase it (not beyond checking with a neighbour/sorting office)
