Since robotgate was beginning to fill up the third bargain thread I thought I'd start a dedicated thread here to save Reastie from having to write another mega op just a few days after the last one!

I haven't had my phone call yet and am actually excited for them to ring as I want to put my jargon into use (Is that weird??)

I have a dispatch date of 29th, really hoping that it shows up now.

Is anyone else worried about the reports of hope charging full price after delivery? I can barely afford £13 for the robot - definitely not £40!

Been watching this thread with guilt interest and am glad you've all taken delivery of your new robot friend :)

Anyone worried it's too babyish - my DD is 5 in march next year and loves him. and he's taught her all her letters and how to spell so I haven't had to

Loving ours - DP has been playing with it tonight and declared it "awesome". Dd is 18 months so was worried she'd be too young for it but she has fallen in love and hasn't stopped playing with him all afternoon.

vivi thats good to know, DD will be 4.5 at xmas and I was thinking of putting it away for DS but he's only one & he burst into tears when I switched it on.

DD saw one of the mini robots in sainsburys the other day & didn't want to leave it behind so hopefully she will love it.

Hi all. Got back from work tonight saying parcel delivered to neighbour. Hadn't checked my emails or this thread since yesterday so didn't know about the despatch email and couldn't dare hope it could be the robot!!

Anyway it was and I'm over the moon with it, so much so I switched it on while still in the box and had no idea how to switch it off. It's pretty LOUD, but looks great. Had to wait for it to go into snooze mode.
Thankfully all the singing, dancing and A,B,Cs it didn't wake up the Christmas recipient.

Thanks again for the tip off and a fab bargain.

So the robot made it's way across the water (Ireland) today and I can safely say that it's worth every penny!

Mine arrived I don't think I want to give it to DS though, it seems a bit...manic somehow. Thinking of putting it in the present box for another child. Still a fab bargain though
