Since robotgate was beginning to fill up the third bargain thread I thought I'd start a dedicated thread here to save Reastie from having to write another mega op just a few days after the last one!

I haven't had my phone call yet and am actually excited for them to ring as I want to put my jargon into use (Is that weird??)

I have a dispatch date of 29th, really hoping that it shows up now.

The lovely iloveholidays took the trouble to post in legal for us and got some good advice. (Even though it was her birthday!) You can read that thread here:

Is anyone else worried about the reports of hope charging full price after delivery? I can barely afford £13 for the robot - definitely not £40!

I just came over all brave and rang up Grin

I was told the restock would arrive on September 5th so to expect it around then. Fingers crossed!

maybe they sent out the ones that came in to the people who paid full price!!! I'm feeling more confident that I did last week!

We could have an ante-natal style thread with user name and estimated date of delivery. We could all update when our little bundles of plastic arrive! Wink

Little update - Logged in and my estimated dispatch date has changed to 9th Sept. Called them and they have said that 9th is an estimate and they can't say for definite until the day whether it is coming or not. I said that was a very strange set up, especially as I checked last week and they had come back into stock. She assured me there is none in stock at all but she is calling me back later to confirm whether they know if they're coming in on 9th or not.

I did say it wasn't great the date had changed twice and that it had been ordered two weeks ago now.

She never once mentioned the bargainous price etc so I feel confident we're definitely getting them, just not sure when!

9th here too. I have to say that Hope Education are really starting to get on my nerves. They really are a complete shambles. When if I get the robot then I won't be shopping with them again.

Hi All, just logged into my account and the dispatch date has also been changed to 9 September. If there's no change to these details by the 10th (i.e stating bloody DESPATCHED) I am definately contacting them. If they change the despatch date again we can only conclude that something is definately 'fishy' about this company...

I only wish that I had read everyones posts about this on the other thread before I got the phone call. They caught me busy at work, told me it was all a pricing error, blah, blah, and they could only offer it to m for £5 less than rrp. I had no idea if they had already taken the money (no time to check), and told them to cancel :(
It was only later when I had chance to catch up on the thread that I realised loads of you had the call, and I could have pushed it.

What makes it worse is i'm still wanting to get one sob as DS is completely taken with them every time the bloody advert comes on. I will not be using that company again thats for sure!

ipswichwitch, I would ring them up and say you know other people who are still getting them at the reduced price and they pulled a crafty one on you so you want it at the reduced price. Might be worth a try.
