Hello

Follow-on thread from this one.

To quote SecretSantaSandyMumsnet:

So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

MN132 again. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! to my flower sending SS.

I'm in proper tears! Blush

The flowers have just arrived with your lovely message. They are beautiful. Thank you so very much.

Today started at 3am for me with various worries/health issues with DS2. The flowers couldn't have arrived on a better day.

I hope you see this message.

GentleOtter · 24/12/2012 12:29

SecretSanta MN075 Thank you very much for the W H Smith giftcard. My children say thank you as they would like to choose a book with the gift card. x
This has been another bad year for us but I feel very special when love arrives from a MN. Peace and Light in abundance to you and your family x

tallwivglasses · 24/12/2012 12:39

Calling MN051....I really hope you got my parcel. I posted it on wednesday and they said you'd get it before Christmas as I don't live far from you

I just wanted to know that your secret santa may be a bit disorganised but she hasn't forgotten you x

Another shout out for MN020 to check your gifts arrived

Raeray · 24/12/2012 13:56

Msnobody you are more than welcome. I was bit worried you hadn't got the other little parcel but have just seen your message on the old thread hidden at the end of it!
Hope ds2 is feeling a bit brighter as the day goes on and that you all have a brilliant Christmas. Grin

Raeray · 24/12/2012 13:58

Ps also a wave and a merry christmas to tallwivglasses who was my match last year!! Grin

SS110 · 24/12/2012 14:31

LatteLady I suspect that I am Donor 25 (my house number is 25 and I wrote from 25 POST CODE on the back, it was addressed to MNer 110) but your description matches what I sent (jiffy bag with not much room to manoeuvre in it!) and it was you I posted to. I managed to stalk work out who you were from the details in the message from MN and a bit of googling.

I do hope you like it, I'm sorry it's not a big fancy thing!

Merry Christmas to you x Grin

Trumpton · 24/12/2012 14:34

MN201
Thank you so so much for the parcel of delights . I was taken to Tiger by my lovely niece who wanted to show me her favourite shop . I had flown into England with just hand baggage so was only able to gaze longingly at all the goodies that I can not get here .
I kept squeaking with excitement as unpacked more special gifts .
Thank you, thank you .
I will enjoy all of it .

You really could not have chosen better for me even if you knew me !
Please have a wonderful Christmas from a very happy trumpton x

tallwivglasses · 24/12/2012 15:34

Hi Raeray - your parcel inspired me - there's something for each of 051's family. I was really annoyed I didn't have time to put the pombears in though!

Honestly, a year on and I still remember the excitement. A merry Christmas to you x Xmas Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 24/12/2012 15:50

Raeray, I am so glad you have seen my thanks.

DS2 seems fine. I think it is just a cold. Phew!

Have a lovely Christmas. X

ilovesprouts · 24/12/2012 16:26

ilovesprouts · 24/12/2012 16:28

come *

mn014 · 24/12/2012 17:43

I was told by MNHQ I would receive 3 parcels. I have only received one. I'm very grateful but felt I should let my SS know in case they are wondering why I haven't thanked them all.
Happy xmas to all MNers!

mn014 · 24/12/2012 18:00

me again, just checked royal mail, it says last recommended posting date for standard parcels was 13th December.

OlaRapaceFru · 24/12/2012 18:06

I'm slightly reluctant to post this too, as I don't want to sound 'grabby'; but I'd like my Secret Santa to know that I'm not being impolite by not acknowledging my 'gift'. Nothing has arrived yet. So I'm not being rude - I guess it's still stuck in the 'pesky Post' somewhere.

But Merry Christmas to my Secret Santa - and also to my nominator.

MulledwineGless · 24/12/2012 18:07

This is why it would be useful for MNHQ to let the nominee know their number when they send the email letting them know they ave been nominated

MOSagain · 24/12/2012 18:22

Such a shame that some presents have not been received by Christmas. I can't help but think that part of the problem was that the matches were sent out extremely late this year. I've been a donor the last 4 years and in previous years had been living in the Middle East and there was no way I'd have got a parcel sent back in time. Maybe MNHQ could bear this in mind and perhaps send out matches a little earlier next year?

Fabulous job done though MNHQ Thanks and Wine

For anyone waiting for a gift....I sent to someone just NW from Glasgow - Didn't post till Friday but was hoping it would arrive this morning.

swallowedAfly · 24/12/2012 19:25

hello - i'm MN188 just wanted to let my SS know nothing has arrived yet hence me not posting till now (wanted to give it right up to the last postman day).

don't worry - will be a pleasure to have something after christmas and i just feel really blessed to have been nominated Smile

like someone else said i didn't want to think that some generous mn'er was scanning these threads wondering why their recipient wasn't speaking up.

swallowedAfly · 24/12/2012 19:31

hang on! i've posted thinking i already posted before i don't think i did! i did receive a parcel for ds a little while back with gross stuff that he'll love Grin i meant that i was told i'd receive a second parcel and that is the one that hasn't arrived.

i had it in my head i'd posted thanks for ds's parcel but i don't think i have - sorry. muddle headed with going back to work and christmas. so sorry to be rude and not say thank you until now.

ds will be making the bouncy eyeballs with my teenage nephew on boxing day Smile

LuckyrecipientMN042 · 24/12/2012 19:34

To the nameless donor of the very generous present that arrived today, thank you very much indeed. I still have no idea what I have done to merit being nominated, but am very touched to receive such kindness.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

mn014 · 24/12/2012 19:57

whistling waves, don't worry, I'm sure it will turn up, it will be a nice new year's present, I'm just grateful to have been thought of at all Xmas Smile Thanks
