Mumsnet Christmas Appeal: the thank you thread II

RowanMumsnet · 20/12/2012 20:13

Hello

Follow-on thread from this one.

To quote SecretSantaSandyMumsnet:

So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

DYSGU - I hope you see this. Flowers

I have been away, and came back yesterday to find a lovely big amazon box, carefully prepared with heaps of presents, many for my two boys, which you say were carefully selected by your own two of similar ages.

We came back so late last night, with tired and grumpy kids, we have not unwrapped yet, we will after school today.

I cant imagine being so organized, you know what I mean, with the colour coding and the list, and the spare labels so I could chose what to write.

Your card was so touching, and the contents too. I am simply overwhelmed by such thoughtfulness and generosity.

Many many millions of thanks. I hope you and yours have a fantastic year ahead, and that good karma is coming your way.

Happy New Year!

So happy MN143 that the parcel arrived - DP posted it and he is not known as the most reliable (usually chucks a parcel at his assistant with a request to 'post it when you have time please' thrown in)!

We all hope your boys like their gifts when you get some time to unwrap them. You are all very welcome and I hope the boys are over the grumpiness and tiredness - it is always nice to be away but nice to be home in your normal surroundings too.

We hope these small gifts go some small way towards wishing you a belated Merry Christmas and hoping that you too have a wonderful year ahead.

Thanks so much to my nominator, and thank you to my erstwhile SS, I hope she's OK and all is well. I think the appeal is a lovely Idea and will hopefully be a SS next year. And thank you mnhq of course, lovely ladies.

Your posts make me a little bit Sad as my recipient hasn't been back on. I don't want ANY thanks at all just to know it arrived safely because if not I will claim from Royal Mail and b very pissed off with them!

Do those who are waiting know their Ss numbers? If not why don't you email Sandy and see if your donator has posted

Purple, did you manage to get your parcel off in time for the cut off date for pirating abroad in time for Xmas? Dependent on how you sent it, it could take weeks.

The first parcel I posted to MN069 was returned to me by the Royal Mail this morning :( :( :(

I'm now looking at a sad pile of still wrapped xmas presents, (including a pretty scarf, some posh chocs, some peppa pig chocs, a ballerina in a frame craft kit and a John Lewis voucher) and feeling a bit miserable....

There's a second parcel which I sent about 2 weeks later with stuff for the older dcs still out there somewhere - I wonder if that made it into the letterbox as it was smaller?

Msvelvet do you know your number? If not you could email Sandy and then post on here. Those of us still stalking waiting on this thread could then claim from Royal Mail if its gone astray
