RolandButter · 06/12/2010 18:38

Dublin. Your motive is wrong. Just give the present and make your point via dhs gob

BelligerentGhoul · 06/12/2010 18:53

Ooh yes - that sounds ideal, Roland.

3rdnparty · 06/12/2010 19:46

Beligerent- fantastic tip have sorted loads of gifts out!
another one for book fans esp female is

www.persephonebooks.co.uk/
quite unusual books and beautifully put together

re footie charts there is a fabric one

www.honeybeetoys.co.uk/football-league-table-tracker-fabric-wall-chart-p-214.html

or a magnetic one which I think is a bit smaller
www.thegeneraltoystore.co.uk/Magnetic-Football-Table-Chart/prod_88.html

MerryMarigold · 06/12/2010 19:49

Roland, thanks will check it out. And enclose receipt with gift!

scrappydappydoo · 06/12/2010 19:50

I love the gloves but she already has some :( She is incredibly difficult to buy for - she's one of those people that will see something and then just buy it rather than waiting Xmas Envy. Makes her sound awful but she's the best mum and has been really good to us this year Xmas Smile just wish I had more to spend!!

RolandButter · 06/12/2010 19:55

scrappy this mum of yours.

where IS she?

BelligerentGhoul · 06/12/2010 19:58

Loving the charts - would prefer to buy instore somewhere though. Wonder if Waterstones might do the magnetic one?

BelligerentGhoul · 06/12/2010 19:59

Btw I haven't used the Literary Gift Company but I've seen it mentioned on blogs, in magazines - and I want everything from there!

RolandButter · 06/12/2010 20:03

oh just order online and get to it you moaner

BelligerentGhoul · 06/12/2010 20:08

No - I want to FEEL it first! Grin

For mums and grandmas, try my mum's book! It's a very touching romcom with an intelligent 40something heroine and some naughty old people. Also available in largeprint and audiobook for them as needs it.

Another one for ladies: this album is amazing. Even old folk would like it.

For men and teenage boys, can't beat a Viz subscription. Keeps them sniggering away in a corner and out of your hair for hours.

For men with a naughty sense of humour, Hound Dog by Richard Blandford is possibly the most shockingly funny book they'll have read ever.

For 30something rock fans, his other book Flying Saucer RocknRoll will take you right back to school in the 90s.

RolandButter · 06/12/2010 20:19

god no one buy me that album

PressureDrop · 06/12/2010 20:21

Wiki, those flowers look -poncetastically good- great. A definite possibility for some of the older -boozers-- female relatives in my family.

If you've got a pregnant friend and a bit of wedge (or are up the duff and want it for yourself for Xmas) Clarins body oils are on discount at John Lewis. Biol Oil Schmio oil.

I've bought this for the geeky father and son in my life.

PressureDrop · 06/12/2010 20:21

fuck strikethrough!
