what to get almost 3 year old boy. Cant be big or heavy as we are going abroad for Xmas and I have to carry all the presents on a limited weight load. He says he wants a tool set. Any really good ones with the battery powered drill stuff that is not in a workbench and not heavy?

what to get my sis and her DH who are quite loaded but have a little and very full house. Both 40 and seem to have everything. They always hate my pressies! (though are good at trying to hide it)

taffetazatyousantaclaus · 12/12/2010 21:47

whoknows - need more info please. What do they spend their time doing, likes/dislikes? What presents haven't gone down well? What sort of taste do they have?

BelligerentGhoul · 12/12/2010 22:43

Sis and dh -

useful, perishable/useable stuff, I'd say:

olive oil, balsamic vinegar, olives, posh pasta;

cinema vouchers or a meal out;

rose bush or something of that ilk;

chilli plant.

If you are still looking. i got my dmil fitflops on www.fitnessfootwear.com/p-1394-fitflop-walkstar-red.aspx on sale for £28 normally £45. Came in two days free delivery.

titferbrains · 13/12/2010 22:39

if people are still coming up with fab ideas, see my post for dh who doesn't want anything - I still want to get him something! I have got him a scarf but just want to get something else a bit interesting.

thereisthesnowball · 14/12/2010 10:49

My DH could always do with new accessories: maybe a smarter wallet, or some driving gloves if he drives to work and doesn't have a heated steering wheel, or a nice belt, or shoe care kit, or some vintage cufflinks?

taffetazatyousantaclaus · 14/12/2010 16:12

titfer - can you get him something funny? I have got DH a West Ham beanie hat as he's taking DS to his first match after Christmas. DH is not a football fan.......

titferbrains · 14/12/2010 22:22

tks snowball. like the vintage cufflinks idea. He doesn't drive (but wow, never heard of heated steering wheel! but then again, I don't drive).

trying to think of a good witty gift but have been thinking about gifts for days now, am feeling a bit empty...
